he feels that he won't vote in this election.  a first for him.  he feels that we will be garrisoning Iraq for years to come and he's concerned with the welfare of his grandchildren.  this from the guy who was even more disappointed than I that vietnam ended too soon and I didn't get to shoot a bunch of communists.

Maybe it means that there is a difference between Liberal, Democrat, Republican and Neo-Conservative. One can vote Republican and still think the Neo-Cons, an extreme version of the Party are a response to 9/11 and going down the wrong path.

Why don't you explain to your Dad your concerns and tell him you think he's lost his marbles - let us know what his response is.

Better yet, ask him if your observation that old age has made him an "anus" is correct.

there you go again avoiding the issue. Pehaps if you didn't use so many aliases and either backed up you outrageous claims OR stopped making them people wouldn't hijack your thread. Stop avoiding questions and issues and we will stop hunting you down on your threads and forcing the issue.........well some of us will.....well i will

that is a hell of a way to talk about your dad.

And he is not alone, BUsh* support is eroding, his approvals at a all time low and negatives at an all time high.  To make matters worse for the GOP, turnout in key battleground state Pa was really poor fo rthe Specter/Toomey primary, while Dem primaries have been setting attendance records.

You see, the US is waking up to the fact that the emperor has no clothes.

A reporter once interviewed a famous 80 year old and asked "how does it feel to be 80?"

He said "I feel like I'm 18 and having something terribly wrong with me."

I haven't heard/read if this is politicians or military command in Iraq pushing for this "buffer" Iraqi military unit in Fallujah (sp?). The fact that the U.S. is using a former commander of the Republican Guard (and a Sunni) is SMART ! The commander of this unit still reports directly the Marines for now (last I heard this morning).
