Far Cry Demo is hard. Hate the lack of saves (like Halo). It's being raved about. It looks great but the gameplay seems same old same old.

Many here seem to like it - plus the Designer/Asst. Producer is an AH player.

Farcry thread

Im playing it on a P4 2.0 with 768MB RAM and a 9600Pro.

Runs like a charm at 1048x768, 32 bit, and all detail on high.

Oh it runs fine, no probs and looks great. Might even buy it.Im just a whinger who hates checkpoint saves

Also slight suspicion about lack of new ideas in FPS. For instance I disagree profoundly that COD was better than MOH. I think MOH was inspirational. COD is "better" but also somehow not. I think of how difficult the Command Post was in MOH and PHEW! Also the ATMOSPHERE in the sniper town, with the rain tipping down. People slagged that level off, but to me it was sublime. Ok the friendly AI wasn't great.

I too at first hated the savepoints... after finishing the game, I can now say that I didn't mind the savepoints, in fact I liked them.

BTW in the next patch I believe proper quick saves will be implemented. They already exist now though I'm not sure how well they work.
