Actually, when DLR went solo, he had several hits (or close anyway, i.e. Yankee Rose), and his 1st solo album did quite well. In his day, DLR was the man. MUCH better front man than Hagar. Their old stuff, Van Halen 1, Diver Down, those albums were awesome. Much better stuff than OU812 Van Hagar. I HATED the song Right Now. (shudder)
I look at DLR NOW and he's an effete balding poof. He's so durn annoying that if I were locked in a room with him for any extended pierod of time, I would have to severly beat him.
In his day, DLR was the better of the 2 front men. He fediddlein' parachuted into a stadium for their first tour and landed on stage.
