I've been flying FB some on our association's servers (Virtualpilots 1 and 2 in Hyperlobby). It is very nice to fly out of Kymi, our squadron's historical base, to intercept soviets over the Gulf of Finland. :) The problem has been my puter. I'm gonna upgrade it this summer so FB should run better.

The second server might still be down but it has a nice early Continuation War setup with early Tsaikas, Ratas and Migs against Brewsters, Fiats and Gladiators. Very enjoyable setup as well!

Come to check them out sometimes! :)

Btw, thanks again for Mr. Southwood's lecture. Very enjoyable and educative reading!

My pleasure!

I am taking FB slowly. There is so much to learn. I've flown using hyperlobby a couple of times with the Firebirds and it was great fun.

I'm having lots of fun in my p38 in the warclouds 44+ server (hyperlobby) the setup is against the lw and the maps include france and bastogne wich are very nice maps, the fm and views,... well u get used to it.

But than after some weeks only flying this, u get addicted.
After more hours u get more out of the plane.
I'm amazed still what the p38 can do sometimes although i was thinkin it was porked.

Another nice thing to do is there is always a mission on like destroying nme factorys.ships,tanks..etc.

The pacific add or standalone is definitly a must have.

Bug..If you have not already, I seriously recommend that you take a look at track IR . Costs about $70 and has multiplied my enjoyment of the game by loads.

WOW. Gorgeous graphics.
I don't fly Il-2 though. The flight model drives me nuts.
Eagerly waiting for AH II to have some population in it, wondefull FM there....
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Il-2 FB is purty, I finally managed to get it installed but the FM is annoying as hell. Why does the plane always go out of trim just before I have a shot.

Yeah, il2 was pretty, but I hated how all american planes were pieces of **** and all russian planes were god.

Weird. What planes, and in what gameplay mode; In AI mode, or HPL, or LAN?

Track IR and AH:

Yes it does work but it requires a reasonably involved way to get it working. There is a thread (I think in the 'hardware' board) where the method is explained. You need to go there and do a search on Track IR and you'll find it.

[edit] I found it for you.

Will it work better in AH2 because of the mouse look?

Man the graphics are awsome!!!

The sky looks and feels like sky, open vast.  The water is amazing.  Very nice.

The carrier looks great too.  Tower is awsome.

God I hope HTC can get close to this.

Hmmm lasersailor = MC_Honky.

Never had a problem with the American planes outperforming the planes they should be, but then... I actually put time into learning them. ZING!
