I have to agree with Nash that there is some great stuff coming all the time. The problem is finding it. When I was growing up in San Diego, the local alternative station (91X) would play some great music. Late at night (after midnight), they were playing new stuff that was cutting edge for the time (late 80s-early 90s) plus some great stuff from the past. However, they have been taken over by the same disease that ruined KROQ here in LA. Hell, KROQ doesn't even have Rodney on the Rock anymore (at least not that I have been able to find). The good thing is that one of the pop/dance stations switched formats at the new year and became a "indie" station. They still play some mainstream alternative stuff, but their rotation includes stuff that you won't here on KROQ for another year. I think it is FM 103.1.
