Though not technically a race, the French are running a close second.

Have never met any Neo nazi's nor KKK members. (I;ve lived in Minnesota, Florida, New Jersy, Montana, Washington state and traveled to 42 of 50 states.)

Maniac,

Racism is not usually an absolute thing. It exists in degrees. I think that's what Rip is saying.

But you must have met a few in your time, Rip?

What do you say to them?

Nice hijack BTW. We should be talking about the press aide and her attempt at censoring Powell.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Yes, maniac.

But when there's a war on, people stereotype and get excited and use shorthand.

I kind of suspect that everyone I've met on this board, if they had been at a local pub or bar and were having a drink with an Arab American would have framed their conversation quite differently.

Worst racism I've ever seen first hand was in Chicago, not in the deep South.

There has been plenty of subtly racist remarks on this BBS. I think you need to be sensitive to them to notice them. If they were about you or your kind they would stand out like a sore thumb.

Here's one (and no, I don't think Rip is a racist)

The game has changed alot, personally I've gotten turned off since gang members were allowed on NBA teams.

Disect that for a  minute.

Gang Members? My guess is this is basically lumping all Black players with tattoos who like Rap music into one group. Nevermind that many have college degrees or that they employ as many people as most small businesses. Darnit! They say Axe instead of Ask!

Again, what you construe as racism might be based on a cultural difference.

Lets say funked teases blacks with the "Wooo Wooo" and uses ghetto-type language on this bbs...is that racism or is he simply making fun of ones culture that they're living in?  I don't believe Funked has one racist bone in his body.  I think folks are too eager to play the racist card in a knee-jerk reaction to PC'ism.

Ravells, never met any. Honestly.  My Grandfather was the most racist SOB you'd ever meet, but never part of organized groups.  I detested him for it.
