Anyone using wireless internet?
They has this stuff where i live . Its on the 2.4 ghz microwave platform.

They are telling me I will get 3meg download and 1.5 upload speeds and all that for $39 a month!

Just wondering if any Ahers are using the stuff and how good the ping rates might be?

My brother has something like that and it works ok. His son tested it also in AH and no problems.

I think it is worth to try. You can allways quit. :)

Well I'm using a microwave too, good for cooking hotpockets...

As for the 3g download and 1.5 upload speed, im getting 4g download along with 1.6 upload speed!!! Can you belive that! 1.6 upload speed!!! I'm so happy! Plus, my 4g download can give me lots of blackouts... My body cant even handle 3g rollercoasters!

As for my ping rates, there are around $5.50 an hour, but I'll give you a dicount since I like you :)

:p

I'm on wireless right now, and I couldn't be any less happy with it.  The service from my ISP has been very very erratic. One second it's chugging along at a decent speed, the next second it's slower than dial up.  It really depends on how good the operation in your area is.  Mine is a real mom-and-pop type outfit that is trying to service way too large an area with a single (or maybe 2) T1 line.  unfortunately it's the only even pseudo-broadband service available.

My bro is on wireless, it works good for him. Wouldn't hurt to try it as long as you don't have to sign up for any 1 year contracts or such. I would dig it myself as I have a couple of cords running through the house upstairs.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way a few years ago. What was it when this high speed home access came out, it sounded great but if all your neighbors were on it it sucked? Well mine sucked, for a year. They did a great job selling it.
