Natedog, about that G-2 armor glass.
« on: May 26, 2004, 12:51:15 PM »
Hiya Natedog! :)

Last time I brought this up I couldn't find a proper picture for you as reference. I went through my HD and managed to find this picture taken from the G-2 cockpit. As you can see the armor glass you allready modelled for the G-6 should be there for the G-2 aswell. Could you please change it? I'm no 3D-modeller but if you can just copy the armor glass you made for the G-6 to the G-2 that will do the trick. :)

But as for the moment, enjoy your new wife and the honey moon! :) I'll punt this up again in July or so. ;) :D

Congrats!

Here are the pics for reference:

Hey Wmaker, were you sitting normally in the cockpit when you took that picture, or leaning forward? Just curious... the real cockpit sure does seem cramped. :)

Taking the picture as reference, it seems the gunsight should be placed much higher than the present placement.

Vorticon, that little magnifying lense thing is where the actual gun sight is i think, then its reflected up on the piece of glass.

Here's a pic of the Revi 12D of the 109G2:

In the next picture, notice the light bulb at the bottom. We didnt have batteries with us, so we had to use a flashlight instead. Shining the light from the bottom reflects the gunsight reticle to the tilted glass, as you can see in the last picture:

SHOOT HIM!!! SHOOT HIM!!!

Btw, you'd need to show the glass before you can model it to look bullet proof;)
