Oh yeah .... a landing mission. I can see it now. A dozen LVTs versus two or three aaa beachguns. Hehehe. The carnage.

How about Sunday night, there will be a big D-Day landing mission.  The allies have CV's and coupled with air support, I'm sure they're bound to capture a base.

Make it for 8pm EST?

Sunday might be to early, plus a lot of guys might miss,  that is our squad practice night too...

I mean Escorts are easy... something like this will take a little more time plus getting CO's up to speed.

I need:

B-17 pilots
Escort Pilots
LVT drivers

and just to add some taste to it... Goon pilots...

I would like to make a movie off of this...  Axis and Allied... I know this is much to ask for... but have some guys in each recording the mission....

See if we can get some of the BG's to join along...

Roxanne,  you don't have to put on the red lights, those days are over, you don't have to sell your body to the night. :)

Well before this gets into a name calling thread... I have an idea have this in a 4 different operations ... now this is going to take a little bit...

Stage 1
Air interdiction Stage
B-26's, P-47's, P-51's hassling bridges, VH's, and radar Sites

Stage 2
C-47's... will dropped in zones.  Have flak batteries trying to get the Goons down

Stage 3
Prep of beaches
Hitting the beaches with Attack planes.. have guys in german GV's on the beach... Needless to say that the Luftwaffe didn't have an abundance of pilots at this time.

Stage 4
Storming Beaches...
Have everyone Allied storm beaches in LVT's, have some guys in the ships shelling a base inland.   Have the Axis guys in Ground guns and GV's trying to stop the allied advance...

Just an idea....

Get everone in on it.........

A wave of 30+ LVT's coming into the beach would be something while the ships pounded away at the shore facilities and aircraft CAP'ed overhead.
