I've seen a LOT of Cowboys / Iggles games and you are right.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

He's going to win but the final odds will be so bad you'd have to be a fool to bet on him.  When that crowd at Belmont if finished shoving money through the windows he'll probablity go off at 2:7

Our mythical hero is a boxer that comes from nothing to become something and them loses it all.  Our sports teams finish in the top three for decades at a time - but never win - and the people here still have a chip on their shoulder for the same reasons.

Philadelphia used to be the capital.  Now were not as big or as strong as New York, nor as we as important as DC.  Our only refuge is to pretend that a broken bell is the most important object in the country and to make fun of New Jersey and Delaware on a consistant basis.

Its a mentality that Ive not encountered anywhere else.  Its almost like the people here appreciate a loser - who tries as hard as he can but still doesnt make the grade - more a winner.

Good read, thanks for the insight. I don't know about what life in the city, but I damn sure won't be wearing any Cowboys hats to another game in Philly. I still have knots on my head from 1992. god beer, good fights, just not fond of the gangbang :(
