While ive been playing prop games ive noticed that pilots tend to fall into two groups. The live a all cost, i want to take 20 hits and still get home typs. And the jump into the furball and kill all you can before you die types. How do you see yourself.

I tend to be a furballer. The only time i make a point of makeing it home, is if someone says there cummin after me. Then ill kill them and get the hell out of the furball.(Huh, wardog .

Anyway i just wonder if the rest of us see you the way you see yourself

I usually start the TOD trying to run up a streak.  After I die a couple of times, or get tired of being careful, I start jumping into furballs.

well, there IS a 3rd type.  Those folks usually fly with a squad.  It's very different when you fly "lone wolf" with a pack of friendlies, than it is as a "team member" of a squad.  The ultimate goal is not how many kills you get, it's if you accomplish the goal you and your squad set out to do.  If the goal is to "Furball".. then the goal is to prevent anyone from killing your squad  mates while they jump into the furball.  Sometimes we pay the ultimate sacrifice for each other, but that's okay, because compassion for your fellow squaddie returnes  10 times more satisfaction to us than score  does.

I think we all go thru phases. The same old thing tends to get boring.

I'm of the 'jump into the furball and try and make them break a sweat just a bit before dying dramatically to them' type. I might even get a kill or two by accident!

In scenarios I am much more disciplined and serious about what occurs.

Torque...Bingo.  Our ancestorial behavior is instilled upon us as humans, to make life unpredictable in nature. For most, the same old duldrum just don't cut it, have to mix it up to make it interesting.

I dont give a rats behind if i live or die.
Flying around for 20 minutes grabbin alt and only attacking with advantage is boring as watchin paint dry, gimme a fight, and right now! Vulched fields are perfect! I might get shot down 20 times in a row..but sooner or later im gonna get one o them bastages.

Live to fight, not to fly

I am a "land the kills" kinda guy.

I always wanted a REAL GOOD scoring system, but after years of hoping in despair, one develops a score shmore attitude.

However, with all the vulching and little strategy it gets kind of redundant, so I have been ditchin' or dyin'.

I love landing a sortie

unfortunately i like furballs too so its water n oil there with that combination.

also like those patient slow 30k fights where its you vs 3 enemy and ya kill 2 and the 1 remaining one runs away   , rare but very satisfying

but like torque said, same old same old fighting style gets boring so ya switch around a bit depending on what mood your in.

Im squarely in the DAAR catagory...this rare sub species exibits traits and tendencies that consistantly qualify for the various "darwin" awards, however we also have alot of fun  ....

Seriously however, I find myself usually drawn to the side with fewer players and area's with more bogies than friendlies, combined with my overwhelming desire to squander any advantage I might have by diving down, chopping throttle and T&Bing in that enviornment let me sign off as....
