Nevermind...

I thought he was reading to the kids when the 1st plane hit. The timeline indicates that he knew about the first plane when the aid whispers in his ear about the second plane.

You're right Pongo... he waited way too long.

at which point he knew for certain it was a terrorist act

before the second one, 99.9% of the pop was not thinking terrorism

if you want a real 9/11 time line - Look HERE

of course this rolls back into the previous admin so the left will not bother with the facts

from the mouths of babes..

"There is one terrible pilot." lol

What he had to do was show a pulse guys..

Its connecting the dots. Airliner. WTC. Massive potential loss of life.  One of the most prominent landmarks in America or the world. How the hell could he walk away from the TV for a readalong.
Easy..Hes a mental midget and his handlers hadnt pulled his strings the right way yet.

if you cant respond effectively in a crisis because of the presence of some 8 year olds what does that say about you as a leader?

The second I saw it I imediatly stopped packing for work etc. How could he not respond the same way? Thats why people are so fasinated with this issue. Its says so much about Bush.
Its why he keeps well out of the public eye except in very very controlled instances. Cause he is stupid and it becomes self evident if hes observed directly for very long.
All hail the chief.

because it was handled? do you think they all stood around in DC playing pocket pool because he wasn't in town or on the phone with giving instructions? Somethings are automatic...

and I guess the same group wonders why he didnt fly straight back to DC, right?

I can't fault the guy for his immediate actions on this.

WTF is he gonna do?  Jump up, pull out his executive pen and immediately go into action writing up new legislation that outlaws terrible accidents forever?

He has people that were on this and nobody really knew what was going on at that time.  So he waited, confused like everyone else, for his people to do thier jobs.

If I were pres when it happened I woulda said.. "keep me informed" and finished reading to the kids, pretended all was well and excused myself early..... If I were liberal and the pres I might have broke out into hysterical screaming sobs and shouted to the kids "you are all going to die!"

Bush has kids of his own.. he reacted like an adult IMO.

I think this "october surprise" is gonna be a real dissappointment to the lefties... I think they have about shot their wad.  I was wondering what the last minute lies would be but I don't think they really have anything compelling.

I don't care, your little personal attacks weren't directed at me at me anyway.  I just want to know the rules.
