Luckily, no.  I started doing bug reports after its initial release.  That got me a spot for the Jetfighter II pre-release beta.
That was a fun sim, for its time.

I just got into this, a little late, but it's interesting to see who I fly with and against. I think everyone's too busy with the new version (0.47) to bother, but here goes anyway:

Your Aces High call sign? It's significance?
mauser. I like LW aircraft and fly the 190 about 95% of the time. The MG151/20 cannons come from the Mauser company. I would've liked to pick "Priller" in honor of my fav. JG-26, but being a beginner, it would have been an embarassment to Pips Priller..

Your Aces High squad?
Independent right now, tho I'm looking for a JG-26 that flies in AH and flies for Bishop. Reason? That's the country I started and where people helped me, where I try my best to help them when in need.

Waldorf MD eh?  Isnt it a small world!  Im in Fairfax, VA and Terne lives in Woodbridge.  I was telling Terne that one of these days we would have to go out for a couple beers sometime so we could compare flight notes and do those fancy hand motions all pilots do while reenacting air combat missions!    Maybe you would want to join us?

Gator.  Being a Southerner, it gives a flavor; I like 'em (frequently go to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine when visiting the folks in Florida); I'm a University of Florida graduate, so I am a Gator.

Your Aces High squad?

None, yet.  I like the squad idea, tho.  Once I figure out what I'm doing and get to know some squads, would hope to hook up with a mutually compatible one that flies in the historical arena/scenarios.

What other flight sims have you been involved in? Your call sign and squad in that sim?

Off-line: Red Baron 3D and recently EAW. Online: recently Dawn of Aces (hooked on this one) & WB (historical arena & scenarios); call sign "gator-", squad Jasta 2 (Boelcke) in DoA; "-croc-", no squad yet in WB.

Do you have any other connection to aviation or WWII?

Dad was in the USAF (post Korean War), grew up some on AF bases.  He used to take my brother and I out to watch airplanes take off, cultivated our love of airplanes.  I've done some R/C flying, but not presently active (fields are getting harder to find, less convenient than computer sims!).  Fan of WWI aviation, but of course WWII as well.  Love the P-38, think she's one beautiful bird, have "several" books and videos/DVD's on her.         P-51, 109 next.

Other interesting things about yourself.

Did my military service as a medic in the 82d Airborne, in the only Airborne, Air Cavalry Squadron in the US Army.            Picture of me at http://www.dragon-isle.net/kwilhite/keith.html

Grandfather served stateside in Navy during WWII, and later became President of parent company of commuter airline I worked for, he also designed the oversize cargo doors you see on DC-2's(C46). Spent 5 years working for that small commuter airline in AK, 3 1/2 as mechanic helper(enough to get A&P but never took tests   ) the rest as purchasing agent/warehouse manager. Started PPL lessons in Dec. '90, got ticket in Sept. '91. While working and living in Kodiak for the same commuter, I was able to recieve free float instruction from our chief floatpilot the summer of '92. Have wrenched on C172RG, C185, C207, C208, C441, Turbo Beavers, Twin Otters, Beech 1900's, Dash 7, Dash 8, and C-130's(civillian stretch model, can't remember designation, L-1011?). Also have stick time in some of them, the 207, 208 on amphib floats and wheels, and the Turbo Beavers on amphib floats, including Alaska Magnum Beaver(Family freind owns design). We also(Markair Express) had Wipline design and install the only set of amphib floats at the time for one of our Twin Otters! What a beast!

Hey Tshred;

Some advice from a former Alaskan on:

"Single and still looking for a rich woman with big you know what's who can brave the cold Alaskan winter! "

You will not find her in Alaska.  Move out of state for just one year and you probably will find her.  The old saying; "In Alaska you don't lose your woman, you just lose your turn." is amazingly true.  Move anywhere else and you will find nice, pretty, and available women everywhere.
