WB, AW, F4, Hornet... gosh too many. I thought Flight Simulator on my Apple II+ was just jaw dropping. My callsign has been the same for all online sims.

Do you have any other connection to aviation or WWII?

I wish. Er, my buddy is a pilot and he lets me goof around up there... but that's about it (and his hands are always a half second away from retaking the controls if I push it too hard). As far as WWII, my grandfather was one of those guys that took care of the bombs that landed in England, but never blew up... duds. On his last day in England, after the war just ended, he was called off the train that was taking him to his boat home. They sent him to some field where they found another live bomb. They sent my Grandmother a piece of his boot and a charred picture that he kept of her. That's all that was left. My Grandmother remarried to someone who was some kinda special forces
guy. He doesn't like to talk about the war, so all I know is that his small group was trained up in Alaska then sent to Scandanvia or Finland (or someplace) to take out a nuclear facility the Germans were building. I don't really know the details.

Other interesting things about yourself.

I fly way better when I'm hung over. Go figure.

Nash are you frigging serious about your grandmother being married to that guy? I saw the story on the history channel. These guys snuck into Sweden and hiked for like 200 miles and sabotaged a heavy water facility (there were like 8 of them) then they had to get out of the country with like hundreds of germans chasing them, it was real james bond type stuff.

Really? What's the movie called? Yah that sounds like the same thing. I know there was like, under ten of these guys. And yer right, it was a heavy water facility, not a nuclear facility (hehe). If memory serves me, they had to parachute in. I should really try to pry some of this out of him a bit more. I thought I could do it by bringing up Private Ryan which he just saw. But when I asked him how he liked it he just kinda winced, then chuckled and said "Yah, not bad". Anyways - do ya have the title of that movie handy?

I saw that movie (in spanish of course) and always regarded it as pure fiction...damnit...if its true then your grandma married a real hero

The movie in spain is called "los heroes de telemark" or something like that...in english it is "telemark's heros".

I'm not quite sure about the name in english as here in spain the translations for the movies' titles are quite "creative" to say the least (you know that film with Robert Redford ,daryl hanna and Debra Winger called "legal Eagles"? here in spain its called "peligrosamente juntos"---->"dangerously together       "

Wiz.  Its short for "The Wizard of Clay", a nickname that I sort of "borrowed" from a friend of mine from school.  Apparently it was on some sort of tourist attraction he saw in some "hick" town, and I thought it would be a pretty unique name.
