..aghhhh, If it don't leak oil , it aint a bike!!

69 Bonnie and it's T120 are about as far as I'm goin. I'll even  finish it one day...

I was thinking of a theme for the Bonnie,..kinda like the trailer thing....I can tow a large oil can, for all the oil she leaks....

Best fabrication I saw on the show was the fire engine tank done by a specialist..
But I like the show. Im just a geeky guy myself but lots of by buddies are tradesmen and hanging with them is just like the clowns on that show.

I like these build it shows...the Wings Channel had the guy building a Europa, then a helicopter....awesome!

Then I got into the American Chopper bit.  Mikey really makes that show.  Whoever this new manager guy is (Kevin?)...I keep hoping Vinny wraps a welding hose around his neck.

Buildsmanship or not, Im always impressed at the fun they have outside the shop, or the good deeds...like re-shingling Vinny's house when he was stressing over it while away...or them stopping by at that hospital for the mentally challenged.

As for Jessie James...wow...I wish I could love myself that much and get paid for it.  He has had a few good episodes (Jet car!)...but his "friends" that serve no building purpose are clearly smooching his butt for face time on camera.  Hands down, he wins for the stupidest method to wear a ball cap.  (Curve the thing, you moron!)

apathy... I knew arlen ness too but I sure wouldn't watch a show where he was creating embarassing trash for rich folk.

Things are different but at least back in the day... id you seen someone on a wishbone framed pan shovel or a lightning cammed knuck or a chopped and primered hot rod... you knew he knew how it went together and how to make it run if it quit.

now... girls ride em.

maybe things are better now.   they certainly are different.   The pendulum swings tho.  I see young builders building rat bikes and rat rods and the fat old men with gucci rods are envious.

choppers and rods were meant to be used.... they need rock chips and oil smears...

maybe they are better now but they aint hot rods or choppers.

as for the "monster" thing... the best monster I ever seen was a d9 cat built by a welder in colorado... it put all those "illustrated man" gucci boys televised projects to shame.

don't get me started on tattoos.

I dunno, Sr. seems a bit high strung, but he does care for his employees.

I can see where he gets off at times, I mean he built up a business, and wants it to succeed.

The only episode I saw where I thought he was really wrong, was the one where he chewed out Vance for not keeping the shop clean.

I don't have a problem with his setting the rules and enforcing them, I just thought it was F***EDUP that he didn't make the camera crew shut off the camera or leave the area as he "talked to" Vance about why he was sending him home for the day.

I guess I just believe in the adage about praising in public, and correcting in private.

I enjoy the show, but I really wouldn't care to own any of the bikes.  Especially considering you could get a brand new dirtbike, brand new sportbike, and a car for what one of those trailer queens costs.

As far as Jesse James goes...  anybody notice how the same poseurs who had big "Fox" stickers on thier pickups 2 years ago have big "West Coast Choppers" logos now instead?  Funny stuff.
