Not sure what to make of this case. Abhorrent to take advantage of a minor, but let's face it, I think he enjoyed it.

I think in the long run both him and his parents will have "enjoyed it".

IN Hawaii and other states 14 is the age of consent. BUT, a teacher having sex with a student is wrong anyway you look at it...

NO I would not want my daughters teacher boning her no matter what age she is

lazs, stop beating around the bush (so to speak). You want people to admit that this episode somehow backs up your belief that women are inferior to men. They aren't. Different, yes, inferior no. Clear?

Let's just say that the situation isn't nearly as black and white as the law treats it, IMHO.

On one hand, I have difficulty seeing a fourteen year old as a victim (if they are already sexually active). On the other, regardless of the minor's sexual status, I think it's poor judgement for an adult to take advantage of a minor in this way. I'm just not certain that it should be considered criminal.

I think it's something to look at case by case.

? AMD processors and intel processors are different...but for the most part their equal...its perfectly possible to be different and equal...and perfectly possible to treat them differently and equally at the same time...

No one will approach my daughter unless she seem mature enought to understand the concequences/responsabilities of having sex.

If I had a boy, it's different, boys are usually sexually active way before girls as it's the only thing that runs in their head as soon as they have their first errection.

In both cases, it's all a matter of education. My dad taught me (as well as my sister) all about sex, how childrens are made and how sexually transmitted diseases are caught.

At least, when the situation presented itself, I knew what to do, and not to do. Without proper guidance, I could have ended up with a 18 year old pregnant girlfriend, that off course, my dad would pay for.

Choosing to scare teens with sex is not what I will teach my kids because when they ormones will kick in, they will do it anyway. And without guidances, they will do it wrong. To each it's own way for raising their kids, but what my dad did protected me from being in trouble, and didn't make my sister a slut either (She became sexually active with her 2 year BF in her 19s).

you know that when that kid is about 18+ he will have a SERIOUS trauma.

He blabbed and lost the chance of being hummered throught all middle and high school.

If i were him, i'd shoot myself.

sandie..sooo... the whole sex with minors deal is a "grey area" thing that we should take case by case? Is 12 too young if the person is "sexually active"?

How exactly would you word that law? I mean... you wouldn't want to confuse anyone right?

curval... i never used the word inferior.. least not to describe an entire gender or race say. you could however, for example, say that womens upper body strength was inferior to mens. you could not use that to say that they were an inferior gender tho.

They have pluses and minuses... the minuses cause them to be poor voters.
