WOW...that was very cool indeed. It was also as telling as it was cool.
First let me say Great Work.
A few thoughts/findings.
#1 The film is a tad out of focus for me...It is noticeable in Full Screen mode as well as in Normal view mode. Not greatly...just enough to be kind of annoying. Maybe a setting on my end will change it. I will mess around with it a bit. I did change the res on my monitor a few times. But i will check a few more things out.
#2 I was expecting to see the Gear Raising Sequence of the F4U after clearing the deck of the Flat Top. In the transition from the takeoff clip to the climb out clip the gear rising was lost i guess?
#3 The music selection could be re-considered.
While i have no problem with it personally, < 43 year old Musician that appreciates almost any style of music>the selection might be a little.....well lets just say that it only appeals to a select group of people. There are OLD PPL that play AH2 too! :D
You might consider something that will appeal to a larger audience. Of course i am looking at it from the marketing standpoint.
Now for the part that was telling of AH2.
#1 the tires on every plane on the runway are submerged into the concrete nearly to the rim.
#2 the damage model/sequence of AH2 is revealed here, and i might say...it is lacking. One example is the damage taken by the P51 i think it was. The hit sprites are the same size/amplitude no matter where the hits are recorded. Also when the left wing fuel tank is obviously hit there is no explosion/plum/or any defining sequence that differentiates a hit producing a hole in the plane vs a hit that destroys the fuel tank. Just looks cheesy to me. Ever see the fuel tank damage sequence of other ww11 sims?
There is one sim that has a very cool fuel tank damage model. When a wing tank is hit it usually has a small plum of flames and smoke and an audible explosion sound followed by the wing bursting into flames and slowly burning off the plane till it finally separates/melts off the plane followed by the plane spinning to the ground. And a nice little explosion is audible when the plane strikes the ground too. Now this is true emersion and adds to the joy of a game.
It just seems a little less than i was expecting in relation to other Sims i have played recently. Cant wait for the next film. Overall it was very cool. Thanks for sharing.  Salute

I thought the music was fine too. Just making an observation. Thought maybe  the movie producer/director/ whatever. Would like it better if an even larger audience would shoot him the Kudos. Heck maybe someday he could even make a movie that HTC would use for a television add.How awesome would that be? :)  But maybe he dont really give a rats butt about it? I dont know. Now about the Focus? Anyone else? Did it look a bit outa focus? Fuzzy?
Kudos Stream.

#1.  The file that I made it was 65mb the quality was the best I have ever done.... I think it might have been the net that was causing it to be a little out of focus.... some sences were done with a blur to it... just for an effect...the spit and the A6m5.... From what I have heard was that neptune isn't the greatest means of hosting... but because of the file size, it's the only hosting site I can find...  I am running a 256mb 9800xt , the film viewer was playing it a little choppy, that is why there were a couple breaks in it...

#2 The F4u scene,  I wanted to show the launching off the carrier from a full stop... becuase of the break in the music I used that as a transition point... the gear did come up... but it would have been out of place if I had made the transition later...

#3 The music I selected was to be a driving something that would push the the vid along... I was going to use something else but I felt that it was the best I could use with the effect I wanted to portray.... I will be making these from time to time... there will be other music to them...

Thanks for the honest input... that is the only way I can get better...

I know this isn't as important as other matters in AH2, but I thought I would put in a request.  I know we have the Film Viewer Program,  but it is limited in it's ablilties in making films.  What I am asking is to have the viewer in the game have the same option as in the film viewer with the "ignore recorded views"

I make movies with these sims,  not many people do it with AH.  Now with the new skins and other things I think that something better can be done.

This post is more for HTC...  Here is some of the stuff I have done with IL-2 but would love to do it with AH.

Thank you for your time.

See..Im not a jerk guys. I just knew that stream has his sights set higher than just to creat a movie so we can pat him on the back. Thats why i made some suggestions for better or worse. Just observations.
