Dropped closet to $40,000 so far for a MESSY divorce that has now extended to it's 2nd year.  $10,000 of which i JUST had to come up with last month for a so called "expert witness".  I'm a weeeee bit tapped out.  After all that crud is finished, i'm gonna' treat myself to a new system.  I'm thinking in the $1200ish range build it yourself type with all the goodies.

Sad part about my divorce is this my SECOND one with the same psycho crazy chick.  (the things I do for my kids)  My own fault for taking the fat slob back.

The u and dissing are generic.  I share the pain.  Actually, I'm in fairly good shape so far with AH II.  Usually when a major change in a game comes out it requires a new computer for me.

First hint, of all places, was a surfing DVD movie with a bonus computer DVD that ran like crap until I saw the fine print that it needed at least a 3 gHz machine!

My XP Home P4 2.26 gHz is barely two years old which is when many systems start creaking with the latest games.  I'm enjoying IL-2/FB/AEP too except after a round or two my puter starts panting and the frames slow to slide show speed.

I once wrote an eloquent plea to retain an earlier version of some game (probably Air Warrior) so we wouldn't have to buy new machines.  I think they did keep the old version for awhile, but it soon died for lack of interest.

So far AH II is great for me except overall frame rates want to settle around 20s and 30s instead of 40s and 50s (bare sky still reaches 70s).   I'd like to never have to buy another computer, but that is only slightly less likely than never having to buy another car.
