It ain't vodka...it's tequila (mescal), and Boroda ate the worm.

After one drink too many he dressed up in his wife's stripey top and her favourite shorts, fell asleep and was haunted by the time he painted a P47 model kit in the most inaccurate scheme ever seen.

It's not a "wife's stripey top", it's a sailor's undershirt (telnyashka). Very practical and popular in ex-USSR.

Bottle is a "Topaz" vodka.

It wasn't the wodka that made him halicinate, it was the disorientation brought on by the combined visual effects of; the stripes on his shirt, the reflective velour chair, and the semi-metallic 1930s wallpaper.

What??????????? The entire Russian navy dresses in women's clothes.  :D :D :D  Ok I can accept that but explain the chair. That has to be the gayest and campest chair in the entire world?

This underwear shirt is made of wool (usually) or of cotton (summer version, used in airborne troops). It's traditionaly has white/blue stripes, so sailors were visible against white sails and dark masts while working above deck. What you say is funny because it's traditionaly a sign of masculinity ;)

Chair looks like it's a part of furniture chosen by wife. I hate such things myself.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

You know why the russian navy uses powdered soap in the fleet. It takes longer to pick up in the shower.
