Send him in and we'll discuss it. Until then, I don't really take your being offended for him in proxy too seriously. :D

Seems only people with a political agenda and time on their hands are offended by "japs". I said it on ch.1 a while back and got a few guys P.M. me. ...... I said "oh I'm sorry ....are you japanese? " .......... "well.. no...but Im sure they are offended" Words are insults depending on the context.

Ya, the "J__" word is not cool, although many use it still, kinda like the "N" word imo, not somthing I care to make use of, any way back to the regulary schedualed proframing, Nothing personal Arlo, generaly you crack me up.

BS.  And Skuzzy can ban me again.  It's just a shortened term for "Japanese."  If you want to invent things and compare it to being the same as that N-word then you are doing so much disservice to what black people have suffered.  So the shortened derivation "Jap" was popular before and then during WW2, it was never created as an insult.  Heck, look at the Olympics years past and tell me what three letters were used for Japan.  "Brit" is short for British, "Tex" is short for Texan and "Jap" is short for Japanese.  Get over it.  "KFC" is now the acronym for Kentucky Fried Chicken... it's just how language works.  We try naturally try to shorten words.

Are you the supposed player in question that's upset over the casual use of the word "Jap" in any context whatsoever?

If you want me to send you an email then I need your email addy other than that, I see no reason why it can't be discussed in public. :)

Well if you want to say I have a yeb (yellow eyed batard) or a slant  at 3 o'clock, then that would be called racist.

There is a simular discussion going on over at UBI right now.

BTW, JAP is a single cylinder motorcycle engine.

Arlo, the address is in my profile.  You can send me a message from there.

The topic has been discussed before, therefore I'd rather not re-open the issue for myself as it provokes emotions which I'd rather not display in public again.  I am offering you an offline discussion

BTW, the abbreviation for Japan in the Olympics is JPN according to the International Standards Organization.

edit:
btw, let's not highjack this thread.

"KFC" is now the acronym for Kentucky Fried Chicken

-----

No it isn't.   That's the actual name of the chain now.

Some years ago greedy politicans in the Commonwealth of Kentucky decided to trademark their name so as to force everyone using it to pay royalties.

Instead of bowing to such an unreasonable request, the fast-food chain formally changed its name as a matter of protest--thus giving up a name it had been using for several decades.

For this same reason the Kentucky Dery horse race is called "The Run for the Roses" now.

In one of the few cases of people getting their just deserts, all the greedy politicans of Kentucky succeeded in doing was permanently removing its name from the national scene.

"Forks' just a canuck".  It's a negative connotation, that will ususally get a nasty glare.

"Stupid canuck" in a bar will get the shirt/jacket-pulled-over-your-head hockey fight style. :D
