I saw two tanks do this last night from a distance.  All I could see was two brown dots screaming across the ground toward the Bish HQ.  Until now I thought they were UFOs.

I agree that this definately needs fixed right away.

Incredible. Gatt.. u consider using 200mph panzers is justified because it would otherwise take too long to get into position?

That in exchange for returning the panzers to correct parameters, you should be given an uber 205 to hunt a buff pilot that invested an hour and a half of grab time to get to 32k? Damn. I'm finding out all sorts of things I wish I didn't know about people.

Want to repeat this bug? Hit A11, grab any vehicle, and drive down the 5k slope. I think I hit 300mph w/Panzer doing it yesterday offline. Couldn't read the speedometer since bugs were hitting my face like .30 caliber slugs!

Another one for the books:
At A10, BETA map, I got an M16 and later an Ostwind to stick to the East wall. A10 sits up at 3.5k I think, with steep slopes. The East wall is nearly vertical about half-way down. Provided I went slow, I could keep it on an 80º hill no problem. Just stick it in first gear and hold the stick back to keep the brakes on. Hit it going about 10mph and you can drive down a near-vertical hill.

I can post both film and screen shots of either phenomenon. You ask and they'll be here by 5pm PST.

I think you misunderstood Gatt- He was giving an analogy very similar to your "ground loop to the left three times". I don't think he meant to say he was asking for a super 205.

I do agree with your sentiment, though. I could accept tanks rolling downhill at 200mph... sorta. Having them shoot across the flat terrain at that speed is too far IMHO.

Hangtime bud,
I was joking. It was a paradox, after Nath post. An ironic post, that is   I do hope this is a bug and that HTC will fix it ASAP.

Hey!!!! What a "perk!!!! Now we all want to see players rewarded for being able to game the game don't we??? Think about it, this could be a real perk idea.

You find a bug and exploit it. This improves your points and you get rewarded with a new polished  perk plane / vehicle so you can game the game even better!!!! Lets unballance the playing field even more!!

Hey this is sure to make AH a more realistic sim yet! What should the perk be for stick stiring? For the 200 MPH panzer?

I know!!! We can ask for commando sheep to invade an enemy field and vulch all who use it!!

Hrumpf, perks.

I was probably the most skeptical person when it came to perk talk, but after talking extensivly with HT at the con about perks, this perk thing is gonna work, believe me.

HiTech:

Put it in 1st gear, engine off, nose uphill.
Nudge the joystick, coast up to 20 mph or so (rolling backwards), then start the engine.  Now your Indy.

How about popping the tires or throwing the tracks if the speed of any ground vehicle goes over 60?  Reverse, neutral, forward...any of them.  IMHO it might add a bit of realism -- sorta like ripping the wings off a diving airplane?

Swager,

Perk. Getting a "special" plane based on high performance by the player. In other words, If you do well in playing the game you get an even better plane to play in. You enjoy better capabilities than those who did not earn sufficent points to "earn" that plane. Plain talk, You are already better than most by an arbitrary level set of points so you now get an even BETTER plane so you can be better yet.

Ain't equality wonderful?
