Here's some reference photos I've used to make this skin. There are two different spins on the actual skin so I went with the most well known. I can still adjust the alterations that have been made but I've found more skins in the artist profiles that match than what is actually in the original. It's only a minor change which can be fixed in a matter of about 30 seconds.
Original Photo Unknown Era... Artist Profile of The Undertaker I've found more paint scheme like the last picture so thats what I've went with. I've even found models for sale with this paint scheme. I have yet to find an actual photo from that era with this actual scheme though. It's only a minor adjustment which would remove the yellow bands from the rear portion of the fuselage black banding.
The top photo is the only original photo that exists of this bird that I know of. I've also found a sight that claims the paint scheme I've done is authentic but it's hard to tell with our more original photos. There is one "replica" out there owned by a Mr. Wylie that from other sources isn't completely authentic. His rendition has the solid black fuselage stripes though too.
Oh and yes the wings were painted chromate yellow and then gloss silver over the top. I have two wing skins for this model, one being a bit more blue and glossy and this one which is a bit toned down. According to my Mustang book the fuselage, flaps and ailerons were left a natural color.
