ah2 film.. i was just watching it.  dunno why you might not be able to open it.  did you use the ahfilm.exe in the ah2 folder?

i think maybe the ah2 viewer needs some more tweaking...

I never even heard of these rooks with the exception of SaDs and the poor bastige is just re-arming in the film. :rofl

Neverthless impressive use of the vertical.  The Ki was owned and so was the hurri, p51 and spit.  Also is it me or do we have an engine shutting dweeb in the midst??? Oh well no floppy fish from any of them so it's not really a classic.
:D

No it’s not you--I *think it's the hurri but I was too lazy to jump in the cockpits.  When viewing the film I hear the engine cut at least twice...

I never did understand that...

I think it's 'cuz some people fly with thier own cockpit sounds turned way down, so they can hear exterior engines sneaking up on them.  People shutting down their engines when they have superior E or speed is so that they can sneak up behind someone silently.  Again, I'm not sure, just my opinion formed in a few months here.

Actually I think it had something to do with drag but wildthing had disproved theories regarding any meaningful results from that in the past.

Just lame, kind of like dropping gear or initiating a spin as a defensive move...

That was the plan... that was at A5, knits were trying to get A4...

I knew when i started (hit film) that I already had no ammo. I was just hoping to tie some up to allow a better chance for the capture. knits did make the capture about 5 mins after i fionally went down.

this is what bugs me about the hamstards; people think they're using "tactics" and "stratergery" in trying to take a base when in actuality, it's nothing more than a loosely organinzed pigpile with a direct lemming trail between bases.

To effectively take a base, you really need to interdict the inbounds, thereby preventing them from slipping in (usually at alt) and tearing down to give the goon driver a good excuse to stop flying goons.  I can't count how many times I have done exactly this.

I almost never ever see any side extending cap beyond the immediate vincity of the base being attacked. As a result you have a constant flow of inbound bogies with alt - most who simply tear down into the mess over the base instead of bypassing what is basically just a bunch of guys flying around looking for a vulch and hitting the lemming trail in mid-route (which is very effective at disrupting things).

i like a good furball or base capture as much as the next guy, so this whole thing doesn't particularly bother me. But it does amuse me to no end to see such cluelessness at play.

Capture?  Who cares about capture--I'm only there for the furball and the vulch...

Ahhh the vulch... like the delicious center of a tootsie roll

If it was Hurricane 1  , it runs a reg carb , neg Gs kills the engine. I know cuz I fly it once in awhile  ;) haven't watched film yet but will in a few .. just saying :)
