The most recent polls show only 41% supporting the decision.

Unfortunately one of the things I see very often in here is that stating the facts is often seen as anti-American. Thank you for making that point for me.

I supported the invasion of Iraq too when we did it. Now I would agree with the majority of Americans that it was probably not the best course of action. Isn't America wonderful?

Example:

Finland, yeah, there's a world power with a say in anything.

Canada, right up there with the decision makers (yeah, that one cracks me up too).  Hell, they aren't sure if they are Canadiens, if they really are stilll part of the British empire or if they are maybe French.

The list goes on, the bashers are from easily ignored countries, and their impotence frustrates them.

Hows that?  Great bait, and yet so true.

lol...

Way to bash man (but its okay...'cause you are American.)

If only having the will to do what you want to do was equivilent to having the courage to do what you should do. George Bush would be a brave man indeed.
He has the courage of a gambler at least. But others pay his debts.

Curval, you really have me perplexed.

I can't decide if you are a bright guy, or a complete idiot.   Oh well.

What you seem so happy to ignore, absolutely pretend doesn't happen is this, most every thread in which Americans bash another country (excluding France) is  virtually always in response to someone else bashing American first.

Take Thrawn for example, that deranged butthole has at times had 4 or more threads visible with negative titles and content regarding the USA, though at the time nobody from the USA had attacked Canada.

The origination of country bashing has been almost exclusive to other nationals starting it against the USA.

So your pathetic "it's the USA posters own fault" is not even close to accurate.

I will acknowlege some of us, myself included attacked France first on many occasions, but that is due to a very open, very publicized situation that has mirrored Frances refusal to assist us in the past.  (ungrateful tards).

So, please limit yourself to truthful allegations in the future.

bull****, USA bashing is a favorite pastime of you  people. The hell with all of you. It wouldnt matter what we did or what was going on you would look down your nose at us. Their is no reasoning with you or getting you to understand what point of view we may have. No matter what happens you will revert to stereotyping and insults so theres no point of talking with you people. So **** you, God Bless America.

An American's perpective on "bashing"

...and Slash...before you start to point fingers at "you" people I suggest you go back and read my opinions of the US and Americans in general.

I am not Eurotrash (as most Americans like to refer to Europeans on this board) or a Canadian resident.   I live in Bermuda.  I think I am the only one on these boards.  It provides an interesting perspective on things on what is written here.

Check out the thread about Kerry and cars right here on page 1...in it coolrider has assumed that I am a Euro...now why is that?  It is because I have disagreed with his point of view.  The answer then is "well he is only a Euro so his opinion doesn't count."

It is this type of attitude that annoys non-Americans.  Your post, and Dago's, exemplifies this perfectly.

Dago...your response has me perplexed.

You complain about being bashed by referring to anyone outside the US as yapping puppies.  Is this chest thumping...or do you seriously consider non-Americans in this light?

So, to "have a set" you need to sit back and say "everyone else is jealous of us because we are great."

Not true, from what I recall most polls indicated that about 60% of Americans favored ousting Saddam.
