lol.... Starting to see where the confusion is coming from....

The info J_A_B dug up is from the Smoking Wreks webpage, from "The Book of Mac Dweeb" wherein it says:

"and finally didst come the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Fogy, Fool, Bull, and Columbo. Demi-Gods were they, and many an hour in Air Warrior didst they fly in years past, and countless were the dweebs they had rent asunder."

"Four Horsemen" is just a fancy way of talking about 4 guys in the Shadow Riders. They were a Pony squad, mainly.

The writing is great.... the work of none other than Spitboy.

Hey DoK, weren't you a fan of the Russian rides, specifically the LA series?   Or am I thinking of some other guy?

I campaigned for their inclusion. Planes like the Yak-3 and La-7 scared the SLO out of the Germans so it seemed like they should be in the game.

Only on the intardnet will you find a bunch of guys trying to act like a bunch of badasses because they were involved with a freaking video game ages ago.  :aok

Thanks for clearing it up Nash.   Doing the best I can to answer Misfit but my best is far from perfect.

This "video game" involves people, history, friendships, folklore and you name it. It spans well over a decade.

As such, people tend to discuss it. It's not about being a badass. It's about recollection, saying hi to old friends, and etc.

I don't really see the connection to the dismissive phrase "video games", but dismissive is exactly what that phrase is supposed to connote.

It really shouldn't be dismissed.

If the entire AH2 community were forced to go back and learn about all that came before, it'd look a lot different out there right now.

I'm sure you're right Nash, but I find the level of pompousness too much (and yes I appreciate the hypocracy).

You seem to be the one trying to act like a badass. All I see is a bunch of online vets reconnecting.

And some of us are proud of our "freaking video game" work.

So piss off.

Why do I always have to keep instructing you in the easy things?

1) Get a calendar
2) Getting your picture taken with booth babes is ok.
3) Always show up to E3 parties early so you can get in before the fire marshal starts turning people away.

Simple stuff, see?

I still have the beta CDs from CK.  I remember seeing people start right in with the "CK is gonna have...." stuff on the forums in the old day.  Anyone arguing that way obviously wasn't beta testing it.  But, at least that was an honest effort at a game.

Fool flies here pretty regularly for The Damned. Columbo is over at WB's, still onna Mac (as is Spitboy). Bull & Fogy have been MIA for quite a while. They were part of the Shadow Riders squad.
