Couldn't be 'our' Voss if we're going by alledged history. First, that Voss would have to come across as some type of pioneer super genius. After establishing that, he'd start making claims of an evolutionary product that can be had for $$. He'd show some awesome models (done on computer) to WOW the unsuspecting 'victims.' He'd set up multiple personalities. One would be to 'interview' the 'Inventor' so the 'interview' ends up on an unsuspecting website (maybe even a magazine). Other 'personalities' would be around to spread the word of how great this "Voss" inventor is.
Of coarse in the end, no one would actually have and concrete $ figures of how much they actually were 'duped' out of. Never mind that everyone seems to be pointing to the same 'interviews' or 'personal stories' as actual proof of what actually happened. Notice not a single lawsuit is ever filed. Not even at Small Claims Court......
That Voss in that F16 forum doesn't sound like an expert....for now.

The above is alledged only. As to the actual past incident, did Voss actually accept contributions under false pretenses? Looks like he did by his actions, but truth be told, I don't see actual evidence, only accusations by those that actually haven't 'invested' money. I'd like to see some actual figures by those involved directly, not heresay evidence.

I work for a company that manufactures fuel metering products for this aircraft. I am attempting to locate information relating to maintenance intervals of the engine (hot section, time between overhaul) along with average operating hours per month or annually.

Can you help or provide direction as to where I might locate this type of information.

I wasn't personally ripped off.  I have no cause to go to the police.  But Voss has lost ALL honor.  You weren't around so you can;t know.  You probably figure you're stepping up and helping a buddy.  That's honorable, but he doesn't deserve it.

From what ive heard from "our side" is that he was part of a group of people, he didnt take any money from it, he infact lost money/time from it. But again, this is more rumour, no prove and i really cant care about something that supposed to have happend like 5 years ago.

You SHOULD care.  If you defend him, then it's YOUR honor and reputation on the line.  Voss never even apologized for all the crap he spewed.

Rich I think you miss the point. Read Pagan's post about conditions for reopening it. Specifically Paul addressing false claims he has made about his military service (being a F-16 pilot with kills in the Gulf).

I can't for the life of me understand why a guy that made the statement, "I dedicate my life to my God, my family, etc..." would LIE about his accomplishments. And then turn around and ignore the problem. Where did I get that statement? Go to the TAS BBS and do a "userpeek" at Paul Hinds.

How can I be more clear? I claim that Paul D. Hinds of Fayettville AR, NEVER attended the USAFA, flew F-16s, nor flew combat in F-16s and shotdown 2 Iraqis. IMO Paul's claims are an INSULT to real life veterans.

I await his response to the charges against him with great interest.  I

to respoond (due to health).  But when he _does_ start communicating
again .. his response to the charges had better be one of the first
things out of his keyboard.  Or I'll consider him guilty by "failure to
appear."

I don't go around wearing Vietnam hats or jackets or patches, don't make
the parades, don't join the clubs and associations .. but I damn sure
get pissed when someone pretends to be SF or MACV(SOG) or Recon or
whatever. And I can totally sympathise with real-world fighter pilots
who've "seen the elephant" as they say.

Nos, his claims have been disproven beyond a reasonable doubt. As 'Paul Hinds' he claimed he attended the U.S.A.F. Academy.
When the yearbooks were checked for every year he said he was there, there was no mention of him...and I don't buy the 'changed his name from what it *really* was because of covert operation involvement' ..they selected him for some covert operation involving flying a F-16 while he was at the U.S.A.F. Academy? Before he ever attended flight school? There are numerous other claims which have been disproven, but I won't mention them for the 65th time or so in this newsgroup. What I will mention again is that for 3 months Robey tried to get some verification from Paul Hinds via email, and received no responses from Paul at all during this time. However, Paul responded to email sent by people not 'putting the heat on him' usually within a day or so of sending him a message.

The guy is a liar. Once again, I don't want him to die, and I can feel for his friends and family. And I am totally willing to drop the whole matter until 'Paul Hinds' can respond to Robey's questions. But I will not have some clueless person (yourself Nos...this is not

Of course, one or more of the moderators of such forums was usually a veteran or currently serving.

I doubt anyone at HTC has ever served in the military, but it would be greatly appreciated by a veteran like myself if the same policy were followed here.

Being a veteran doesn't automatically make you an honest and honorable man deserving respect, but pretending to be a veteran for personal gain certainly makes you a dishonest bastard deserving no respect. Those with the Christian idea of forgiveness should still understand that while you may forgive someone in your heart, that doesn't excuse them from accountability and punishment for their actions... especially when they are a remorseless SOB. Jesus said forgive, not forgive and forget. On the other hand, if you feel like turning your other cheek, feel free to contact Metatron to find out what you can do to help him finish TAS.

I don't buy into mental illnesses either... to go to an extreme, anyone who would do what Hitler did obviously had some mental/emotional issues, but that doesn't excuse their actions.
