Doing my part also to be in the biggest thread. I've not been involved with this, but have been around threw it. A mention of KenJr was brought up, KenJr, i believe appologized.
one small lie led to another to help fortify the first lie and it snowballed, no harm was done no money taken. appology accepted.

I can see both sides of the coin here, I like Ripsnort, I don't like Voss, I can't believe Ripsnort would associate with Voss or be in the same squad. YES, I don't personally know either one outside AH, but you get a clue as to their personalities from the postings in here and threw the years.

I've made ALOT of friends from AW to AH threwout the years, and have met ALOT of them IRL. Air shows and even slept over their houses. I'd buy Ripsnort a beer, I wouldn't walk across the street to pee on Voss if he was on fire. Now, do I stop talking to Ripsnort? Hmmm tuff call, I'll still buy Rip that beer, but will always wonder why he would associate with Voss.

You know, I think the core of this thread is Voss never said " I'm sorry" It takes a big man to say that. I do believe what transpired was true, I also believe restitution and I'm sorry helps to reheal those wounds. Do i have expirence with being taken, YES SIR!! I have a court date in December to retreave almost $250,000 US. Was I scammed ? Yes, was I a sucker? I believe not. This crooked realestate company bulked 8.6 mil from people who bought property threw his office. He is in jail at the moment, but "sold" these Fake leins against my 2 houses and my 2 buildings when i refinanced ( sent in fake paperwork that HE had purchased my properties) then sold the property. I still own all my properties and the last court date unfreezes my money in escrow. If anyone calls me a SUCKER, i will go postal on them ( there that should get another 200 Sucker replies)

We aall tell little lies, just don't cover THEM up with bigger lies. I don't even have time for lunch most days, let alone 2 Phd's.

I deal with libel as a journalist but the Internet is a bit different. In general, the key to libel/defamation is that the stated materials have to be clearly false. You get into various intent issues, etc., but if the material is true...

So for Voss being libeled, if you look at claims made about Voss you would have to check to see if they occurred or not. If they occurred, which would apparently be very easy to verify given all of the written statements Voss himself provided, then no Libel. There doesn't seem to be much room for a "he said, she said" type of thing here. Also, Voss could possibly be considered a public figure because of his actions as the producer of TAS and his active, outgoing communications. This would make it even harder to win a libel case.

If you look at the claims Voss made about Hitech -- they might not be actionable either. If Voss listed a bunch of feature for TAS, even if he never executed any of them in code or with an actual product, and HTC incorporated some of those features in a real game, it might not be actionable. Hitech might also be considered a public figure, raising the bar. I seriously doubt it would be worth HTC's resources in any event.

This is all just opinion. If I have questions I contact my publisher's lawyers

Being a veteran doesn't automatically make you an honest and honorable man deserving respect, but pretending to be a veteran for personal gain certainly makes you a dishonest bastard deserving no respect. I don't buy into mental illnesses either... to go to an extreme, anyone who would do what Hitler did obviously had some mental/emotional issues, but that doesn't excuse their actions.

Paul Hinds/Voss/Metatron has demonstrated that he will use any means available to impress his own delusions of grandeur on any one he can to satisfy his emotional (and perhaps monetary) needs. Allowing him to participate in any community enables him to continue.

There are indeed veterens at HTC. But I think your banishment proclimation would he hard to enforce. I dont know if Skuzzy is a veteran but he certainly respects service a great deal.

Comunity is the big issue I think. We may tear each other to ribbons in the game and on this BBS. But honesty is something that we take for granted. Some of the most right wing guys on this board say things that to me seem so twisted as to sound like lies.
I am absolulty sure the same is true of things I say from my POV. But I know that at worst they are picking and choseing facts that support their POV and then maby jumping to a conclusion. So there are real flame fests and hard words passed.
But I know they are honest people that are stretching to make a point and convice an advesary of thier POV. I hope they know the same thing of me.

Voss is totaly different animal. He will utterly lie and then utterly lie repeatedly to try to cover it up. He will lie about anyone that attacks him to anyone that will listen. He will show up here allmost imediatly with a shade account confusing the debate and drawing people into defending his lies.

He is murder for the comunity. Sociopaths are that way.

I bet he would tell you that the next time I see him I will be giving him a lot of crap for defending and hanging out with that POS voss.

Voss knew what he was doing pandering to a squat that is mostly UK guys who are out of the loop and unlikely to run into people who kew voss or knew people who did.

Not to anyone he conned, ripped off, stole from or hoodwinked.

What that conman wrote to the AW community, in response to his being bagged, was something that read like what you can see Voss reply with. However KenJR never sounded as though he were spewing buile nor did I sense spittle was dripping from his chin as Voss does when he responded.
His response was empty and sounded like he was blaming other people for his lies and decptions. The outright thievery and ripping off he never apologized or came clean on. So fuff him too.
