Plural Lineages in the
Human mtDNA Genome

ABSTRACT: Analysis of recent research indicates a plural
genealogy for the human mtDNA genome: an African, and
two indigenous Eurasian lineages that are NOT derived from
the African. This falsifies the 'Out of Africa' radiation
and replacement theory, and means there is NOT one,
African 'Eve', who is ancestral to all modern humans.
In addition to the plain text below, the paper may be viewed
at http://www.rafonda.com Attached Fig.2 is from the Innan &
Nordborg paper, Recombination or Mutational Hotspots in
Human mtDNA

Data from Natural selection shaped regional mtDNA
variation in humans (Mishmar, et al.,) is also analyzed in
this paper. http://www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/100/1/171.pdf

Fascinating idea (I assume the papers are peer reviewed).

Wonder if there are any animal parallells, ie two or more species originating separatly and merging by interbreeding.

Same kind of evidence would be present in mtDNA.

Jimmy Cliff is going to have to change some of the lyrics in his songs.

This topic was the evolution version of the Big Bang theory.  Every came from one source.  Hell, now we're gonna have to re think that one now too.   :p

Seems extremely unlikely.
If two species did evolve into one. then they probably started as one at some time befor that.

this board is populated with idiots.

All human beings are derived from a single alien event.

BS meter reading:  BZZT! "stinky poo alert"

-Out of context and misleading citations of real scientific papers: check.

-Shady curriculum of the author as "Author and Epistemologist": check.

- Nutty "Peer reviewed" journal: check

So this guy has his paper published in "Mankind Quarterly", what a bunch of fine fellow peer reviewers:

"The founder and editor of this journal, Robert Gayre, was a champion of apartheid and has stated his belief that blacks are worthless. Other prominent scientists associated with the journal have included the anti-Semite and racist Henry Garrett of the White Citizens Council, Corrado Gini, a leading biologist in Mussolini's Italy and author of The Scientific Basis of Fascism, and Ottmar von Verschuer, a mentor of Josef Mengele and a race scientist in Nazi Germany.

Even more significantly, Mankind Quarterly has been controlled by Roger Pearson for the last 25 years. Pearson was a leader of the pro-fascist Northern League, which included a number of former Nazi SS officials, and a member of the World Anti-Communist League, described by former member Geoffrey Stewart-Smith as a collection of "nazis, fascists, anti-Semites, and vicious racists."

I dunno but sounds like at least some parts are correct...

Quote
'The proposal to scrap the concept of race altogether is currently only one extreme in a range of views. It is certainly not shared by all anthropologists and is by no means the majority opinion of the public at large. It appears to be a conclusion reached more on the basis of political and philosophical creeds than on scientific arguments. Correspondingly, anthropologists who do hold this opinion often attempt to shout down their opponents rather than convince them by presentation of facts. Their favored method of argumentation is to label anybody who disagrees with them as racist. The public, however, seems unimpressed by their rhetoric. It refuses to believe that the differences they see are a mere figment of their imagination. A lay-person can tell with a high degree of accuracy where individuals come from just by glimpsing their features.

Pardon sir, I'm sorry about smearing the honour of a bunch of Ex-SS, Neo Nazis, Apartheid cheerleaders and White Supremacists by presuming they are racist, and assuming that any information about anthropology coming from their organizations might be tainted by their largely known by now opinions about the "untermenschen".

Even without considering the source, the "paper" is crap, the cited "real" papers don't support the claims.

The point of the article is "OK My granpa could be a chimp, but in no way he was a negro". The rest is just shiny pseudotechnical babble and stolen graphics to fool the already convinced.

You need no pardon from me. However, I find it amusing in that your only rebuttal is name calling just like the author of the above quote pointed out.

Outside of that I could careless.
