Cavalear yes, I am.  This started with great frequency a few weeks ago.

I'm getting EMails from senders whose EMail addys seem to be personal addys.

Fortunately for road runner they can separate them from normal Mail....but wastes my time looking at them ....have to treat them as files and open them....and I won't do that.

I wonder if somehow our Addys have been exposed to mass marketing?

I started getting them over the last week.

One was from an ex-squaddie whose address was still in my Address book.

One was from an ex-squaddie that wasn't in my address book.

One was from h#######@beta.hitechcreations.com

One was from ahspecialevent-subscribe@topica.com

All others from people I don't know.

Spammers and viruses forge the "From:" field of emails.

I get around 20-30 virused emails every day.

Yes we know they forge them Fariz but the point is somewhere somebody connected with Aces High has been infected and the email addys from their contacts list is being used by the virus.

That's not good, if someone did hack into HTC mabe some of your cc numbers can get in there hands.

I think you can be pretty sure that HTCs servers didn’t get hacked. Was probably just someone with a bunch of friends on AH who got a virus, and that virus is using his email list to propagate itself.

ummm NOT

didnt happen or ther woudl be TONS of posts about this.

as it stands, sounds like someone got a virus, and they were "old school" AH

meaning, they had tons of AH contacts in their address book.

i have not recieved anything yet... and i know none of these posters have my email saved.
I don't know what to put here yet.

No, Jay, I don't think anyone has hacked into HTC so don't worry about that!  These types of emails have been going on for some time now and it only needs one person who has other players in their address book for it to spread.  I probably receive quite a few everyday, but because my spam problem is so great (over 100 spam messages a day) all my email is filtered through Spamcop, so I rarely receive them.  Don't worry, I am sure HTC's security is top-notch!  :)
