AH (the first version) was one of the few games that was worth paying to play. There was not much for you to improve upon except better graphics and more planes/vehicals. I couldn't wait until the new version came out...
I DL'd it (50MB bigger then the last verson... so they had to of added something good). AH2 shows how good it really is as soon as you open the game. A extremely ugly black and white picture of... hell you can bearly tell what it is. What was wrong with the old one? I don't know...
You get into the game, go to pick a plane, and find it's now 10 times harder to get find a specific type of plane... not to mention getting that damn menu outta the way everytime you want to do something that doesn't invlove it (which usually is all the time).
You finally get on the runway and notice yes, they did add in some better graphics... for the ground level... which most people see up close for less than 10 minutes if they play for an hour or two. BTW, I love how the rows of trees act like a giant impassable wall. Instead of being somewhat spread out, they are all thrown into a big pile like some sort of mini-forest on crack.
You get up into the air, the game is the same for the most part... nothing fansy was done to it or taken away from it. If it was I didn't notice it at all.
As for taking the bases... whats up with taking the city? I'm pretty sure you don't need to take a city to control a airport/base. Take a look at Iraq... we had the airports but not the city. Why not just have the base encircled by a city (like in real life

). There would be acks in the city and on the base, it might mean fewer bases, but it would be a lot hard to take the remaining bases. They would not only have to take out the city but the base too.
