AH (the first version) was one of the few games that was worth paying to play. There was not much for you to improve upon except better graphics and more planes/vehicals. I couldn't wait until the new version came out...

I DL'd it (50MB bigger then the last verson... so they had to of added something good). AH2 shows how good it really is as soon as you open the game. A extremely ugly black and white picture of... hell you can bearly tell what it is. What was wrong with the old one? I don't know...

You get into the game, go to pick a plane, and find it's now 10 times harder to get find a specific type of plane... not to mention getting that damn menu outta the way everytime you want to do something that doesn't invlove it (which usually is all the time).

You finally get on the runway and notice yes, they did add in some better graphics... for the ground level... which most people see up close for less than 10 minutes if they play for an hour or two. BTW, I love how the rows of trees act like a giant impassable wall. Instead of being somewhat spread out, they are all thrown into a big pile like some sort of mini-forest on crack.

You get up into the air, the game is the same for the most part... nothing fansy was done to it or taken away from it. If it was I didn't notice it at all.

As for taking the bases... whats up with taking the city? I'm pretty sure  you don't need to take a city to control a airport/base. Take a look at Iraq... we had the airports but not the city. Why not just have the base encircled by a city (like in real life  ). There would be acks in the city and on the base, it might mean fewer bases, but it would be a lot hard to take the remaining bases. They would not only have to take out the city but the base too.

Oh yeah, and the fuel issue... what kind of n00b pansy came up with that idea, and who are the idoits who agreed to it? Can't destroy fuel, LMAO. Please, go play ToonTown Online (do a search for it if you never heard of it) if you want rules like that. Every single war depends on supplies. If you run out of supplies or they are destroyed, YOU LOSE! Now instead of listening to some 8 year old cry because he can't fly from the field that is being destroyed by the 7 fighters circling the base, why not change it up somehow. Instead of not being able to fly, just lower the fuel down to about one half of 25% of fuel... or 25% if you really want to be babies about it? I don't know how much of a difference it is going to make taking off from that field if they already have the field capped. It would be smarter to take off the another field... lets say has no enemy around it... gain some alt... and then engage the enemy. But what do I know...

I think a tantrum is comming.  Is it time for someones nap.:D  WTG so by my calcs you have what a whole whopping 30 mins invested in the game.

Sheet you havn't even realized the nuanses of a more accurate flight model and you speak of how AH is a fighter simulation.

If your looking for strategy like chess go play chess.  If your  looking for neck jerking, heart pounding, edge of your seat, palm sweating action surf some porn or play Aces High. :D  If your like me do both at the same time lolh

It has all the action of before without the down time caused by fule porking weenies that don't want to fight.

The action is tougher and more fierce.  Everything I want out of a WW2 Combat Flight Simulation.  AS you put it.

I'm not saying put buildings 'everware', I'm saying put the town around the base. Everything runs just fine with the 30 some buildings they have in a normal town now. Just spread them out and make them more real

I realize cognitive thought is not your strong point, but AH is a
GAME brainiac, not war.  So I guess Hitech and
the "idoits aka idiots" who work for him would rather people be
able to play rather than logoff.

HitTech aren't the ones who play the game, we are. Just because a few n00bs complained becuase they couldn't take off from bases that were already completly destroy does not mean they should make fuel undestructable. That makes no sense what-so-ever. Now they should, to keep the n00bs happy, make it so the fuel is able to be destroyed but they field will never run out of fuel (so the n00bs can still take off and get shot down). Like I said before, after all the fuel on the field is destroyed the max ammo of fuel you can take would be 25% (or less).

So if it's just vultched newbies who are affected by the presence of unporkable fuel, what's the problem?  Just pads your kill score as you vultch, right?  Why do you  feel the need to pork?

Bull.

I recall severall occasions when I logged in, field's were about evenly split between the three sides, and there was not one single base at the front that had more than 25% fuel.  That is complete BS and there is no way that you can justify it as "n00bs whined about it".  It had been an ongoing issue for many "veterans" for a long, long time.  HTC agreed as it was having a negative impact on their game.
