Found this pics online and noticed 4 BIG guns protruding from the wings.  Anyone know if these are pictures of a real CHOG?

It is a Bhog. F4U4b, that is. Four bladded propeller, F4U1 has only 3 blades

From the pics I have seen, that looks like a F4U-4........did not they go to a 4-bladed prop on the -4?
Not that I am an authority on the Hog......

 Cheesuz man. Anyone with one blind eye and 120/20 vision in the remaingin good orb can see that the aircraft in that picture is a BLOO FW-190.

Hi

Thats not an F4U4! Its an F4U5 or F4U7, it clearly has the twin cheek cowl intakes of the 5s and 7s , rather than the 4s single lower cowl intake.

It's a F4U-5, they were the only model with the dual intakes(at 4 and 8 o'clock) on the cowling.

The F4U-7(94 of them) was built for the French Navy, they were based on the AU-1(F4U-6) airframe but had the same engine and cowling with the single chin intake as on the F4U-4.

Actually Juzz, that is an F4U-4 airframe. It's kinda a crossbreed tho. One of the fortunes of restoration. Looked this particular F4U over many-a-time in Galveston.

And to you hispano dweebs, you can have this one because those are just four pieces of pipe used to simulate the M5's
