DC-3.......sigh......
I've flown in a few of them up north.
(northwest territories)
They still make great freight haulers.
Not only in museums quite yet !

The first time I flew in one, I was amazed at the number of plates behind the copilot, showing each time it was checked out.
They had run out of room and the plates were overlapping and all over ther place !
1946,47,48,49,50,...1981...
It's one thing to know how old these birds are, but it was another to actually SEE it.

They are getting old though.
A helo pilot friend of mine saw one fold it's wings in flight. (The crew didn't survive)

Regards,
Snoopi

Hey Snoopi...you were a lucky passenger onboard Buffalo Airways huh??

My brother flew DC-3 (C-47) for Buffalo a few years ago.  I'm pretty sure all were older than he was
