If you wanna tack your "credentials" onto an endorsement for Logitech, fine by me, mate ... but Brat's actually a friend of mine. Besides ... in case you failed to notice ... I'm not the only one here that knows that Logitech blows. If that hurts your feelins ... well ... you can either get over it .... or not.

Back when i used to fly i allways liked a logitech. I used a logitech winman extreem stick a set of ch pedals and a beklen nostros pad, Great combination
I used the same stick for 2= years before it was warn out

Now one of my squadies went though 4 wing man sticks in a year before switching to Saitek whick he would only have to replace every 6 monthes, Then i think he went to a ch stick which lasted a year.

all depends on how you fly i guess

But we're not talking about "how we fly" ... we're talking about "product quality." Seems your friend has tested three products very extensively and Logitech scored lowest while CH highest.

From AH players I've talked to about Logitech (several dozen): 8 out of 10 that have tried them say it's an inferior product with the remaining 2 unwilling to claim it's a superior one. Their experiences mirrored mine. Hardly a ringing endorsement from the community. Hence my challenging any recommendations to buy one in this thread.

You're not only a dumbarse .... you're a hypersensitive dumbarse. I didn't recommend a $500 setup to Brat. I said "don't buy a Logitech" ... because Logitech sucks. Your opinion doesn't change that fact. He'd be better off with a cheap Saitek.

when did you use a Logitech stick, what kind was it, for how long did you use that stick, did it break, if so, why? so on and so forth, I did say something constructive.

Arlo I was responding to Brat not you.

I dont care of you have an axe to grind with logitech or not.
I was happy with my stick, and i would buy one again. I thought it was the best single stick out there for the price.
It lasted me 2+ years untill the hat switch went out,

Brat take a walk to the store and look around find a stick that looks like it will fit you and try it out.. if you are not sure if you wanna keep flying , I would go cheap first, Then upgrade if you stay around.

the real question is....

is Brat the kind of guy who will slap, throw and shake the stick everytime he dies or NOT.

some joysticks prefer a gentle hand, some are made tougher for the one's with a not so gentle hand

personelly I like too stay smooth, even when in a dogfight, hence my name SlowHand:D

Logitech 3d extreme - the first few months of AH. Calibrated poorly to begin with. Four months later the spiking was so bad there was no amount of slider adjustment or dampening short of complete shutdown that could keep the mildest touch from initiating a "don't move controls rapidly" message. Discussions about stick issues with other members of the community consistantly received feedback from players that Logitech was an inferior product. The primary problem cited was stick-spiking issues exactly like mine. The purchase of a $35 Saitek was a 100% improvement over even the first day's use of the Logitech. Continued discussions about Logitech with other members of the community STILL receives a broad majority of negative feedback about Logitech's shoddy construction and spiking issues. Saitek receives an overall positive reaction. My year old Saitek works as well as it did from day one - which is bout near perfect.

Now, goob .... here's THE thing. I'm not here to convince YOU that Logitech sucks. I hope you buy 20 em. I hope when you wear them out you keep them as dildoes. I don't care. I don't think Brat's gonna buy one now. Mission accomplished.

well funny cause I've been using it for years and no problems, just the usual wear and tear.

and before I bought it I asked squaddies who have been using it and still no problems.

and that SPIKE thing you mentioned, can you give more details, like WHAT caused those spikes, so on and so forth......please
