Not so wise

I'm not sure why they call them wisdome teeth but THEY SUCK to say the least.

I had my top ones pulled about 4 years ago but the bottom ones are huge and deep inside my jaw line.  Well they finally started impacting my molars in the back and it was time for them to go.

Was pretty easily actually.  They put me out but didnt say to count backwards or anything I just remember waking up in the recovery room w/ my wife laughing at me.

I was good yesturday but woke up today swelled up like a chipmunk.

Cant wait for the vicoden to kick it.

I had all four of mine out back in 1987, while in college. They were all impacted. I opted for the Novacaine and Nitrous combo cocktail. It was awesome! I enjoyed every moment of it.

Halfway through the procedure, they were asking me if I wanted them to turn the gas down, but I kept asking them to turn it up. That Nitrous is great stuff. Wish it came in sixpacks. :)

But, when it all wore off a couple hours later....youch!

Vicodin!  You sissy.  I had mine out in 1991.  They had to cut my lower into quarters to get them out.  Broke a drill, had use his spare (to put it lightly, he was pissed).  After spending the remainder of the day sipping milkshakes (it works).   The very next day, my buddies and I went to Cedar Point.  Went on every roller coaster more than once.  13 years later if I were to do this, I'd be milking this thing and have the wife wait on me hand over foot.  :)

What do you think i'm doing now? ;)

They didnt actually take the bottom ones out.  They cut the jaw and cut the crowns off the molars then left the roots in there for extration a coulple of years from now.  I wasn't so bad yesturday but today I'm swollen as hell.

hehe, Just get the occasional flare-ups. :D  My wife catches on too late  though and picks up on it.  One of these days, I might be able to convince her to mow the damn lawn.  Of lamn mowing or ending her shopping.  My fat prettythang will be out there mowing the lawn :)

had mine out 2 weeks ago gun, left hand side top and bottom both roots extremely deep. Big ball of suck bleed constantly for 3 days, hemoraged (sp) twice. NOT FUN.

I didnt swell at all I iced the hell outta my jaw and ate icicles to keep the selling down, just the bleeding was really bad.

Good luck with it and careful what you eat.

Slimm:  Its really not that bad.  My top ones sucked cause I was awake the whole time.  The doc nearly broke one of my ribs w/ his knee trying to crack one of the suckers.

The bottom ones were a breeze.  My mouth actually felt better than it had in months yesturday not having all the pressure on my lower jaw.  It just decided to swell up over night.

also my wife decided to spit me last night by making some really spicy fried catfish.......all I got was the mash potatos and gravy :(

at least I'm off work till thursday so lots of game time for me! :aok

A pair of pliers and some novacaine was all my doctor needed to remove all 4 of mine.  I spat blood afterwards but hey, no big deal.

I had all four of them at once, I remember waking up in the surgery room and bumping the instrument table and going, Woopsy!, then continuing to follow the nurse who insisted on holding my arm, I'm not her type though.

I fell back asleep in the recovery room, woke up to find I hate 6 fingers on one hand, comes to be I had my hands behind one another, lol, you shoulda seen me shake my hands..

I had all four pulled out during my last few months in the Navy. I was wide awake. They gave me a local and some aspirin afterwards.

I got my first two out in the army my second two out shortly after I got out.
The first dentist could get them out nealing on my chest and pulling. rocking my head arround and arround. They were getting desperate and instead of breaking them or any other nonscense, I told him to lock the pliers on and let me at them. I pulled them both out.

Two years or so later the civi dentist was pretty sceptical of my story. About half an hour in sure enough he is on my chest pulling and yanking and pulling and yanking.
I raised my eyebrows at him. He got off. I grabed the plyers and pulled it out. He worked the other one over a bit and I pulled it out too.

Its actually way easier then having them pull it out. I could put my whole shoulders and back into it.
