all you guys with the 'dont let the door hit you arse' attitude are being stupid. are you the elite untouchables or something, can you enjoy AH on your own?

I for one will miss the LTARs. it was fun killing them and being killed when i was a rook. it is even better flying alongside them and saving/being saved by them now im back on the right side.

so long csp, come back if you get bored of WW2 online. i hope the whole LTAR squad isnt leaving. kinghts need them.

Devil,  read the post, sounds kinda cool. But ya got one small problem, this is a "flight sim" remember!!!  HTC has proven they know little about what killed armor back in WWII.
50cal & .303 rounds did NOT kill tank turrets or blow their tanks up!  A 37mm round from 2000 yards away didn't distroy or {disable, in many cases} a Panzer or Tiger tank either.

Hopefully your scenario see's the light of day, best of luck to you.

Saw Bf-109's thread and thought I'd give it a go (16 hours on dial-up  ).  Have to say though, WWIIOL proved a welcome and enjoyable distraction from the MA.  The ground action is superb and it feels like I imagined war would be (basically dieing quickly, being out of your depth, and not really sure what's going on - once you get to the action that is).  After a couple of days asking, reading, learning from mistakes - and I have to say the community's pretty helpful... no altF4's there... things started to click.

I am convinced that if ground war's what you want this game takes some beating, I'm sure the LTARS will have found a home: good luck too you.  However, I've always been into flight, and coming back to AH2 after a little break made me realize just how much I missed it as well just how bloody good it can/could/will be.

What I do have now is hope. [PRAY=TOD will deliver[\PRAY]

P.S. - is it just me or do the 68's have a ski-jumping knight as a patch?

ugg! i hate that saying man! there are a ton of us that love this game baecause it has both. thats just the air junky's talking!!!
hey i made a new acronim for aces high!:rofl

i hope this game will evolve some more, and people will be more open minded, or they could always just get rid of the gv's, and see how repeditive it will get

not being disrespectfull to you moil or anyother player but i really hate that saying/title what ever people want to call it:aok ..

guess i cant blame people for leaveing to go to ww2 online because of this saying. but if this is the majority's feelings includeing those who dont even use gv's than i can not do anything about it i guess but if theres enough of us then someones goto listen right? (hell theres pleanty of planes i dont use butt i bet they would be used in a senerio before a gv would

:)

I totally agree Twitchy!

LTAR S!,
I hate to see any player leave because that means the fan base becomes smaller on what already is a small group. I hope ya find what your looking for.

My squad lost alot of guys to IL2 :( . I hate to lose friends or targets S!

O btw i was in WW2online for 2yrs from beta. The only reason i left was i wanted to fly 190s:p

I'm not in the "don't let the door..." camp here, I do think its kind of rude. I'm also not in the camp where we should be fretting that a player or even a squad changes to another game or bashing HTCs work. Lets be honest about some mistatements here:

AH is only about planes---not only, just mainly.

AH2 is DX6 code---BZZZT, try running it with DX6 and let me know what happens.

WW2 has better graphics---for crawling through the grass or hiding in the tree line sure, thats what it was desinged for but it comes at a cost. There's the 64 limit and the distance limit, of course you'd have to be airborne to really be freaked out by that.

The GV war in AH is buggy---well that one is true. I've completely given up even trying GVs, it is irritating and I'm no good at it at all. I'm doing maybe one or two GV sorties per tour and it is either base defense in an Ostie or a supply/troop run in an M3. Also the groundwar model in AH is better than the airwar model in WW2, so neener neener :D

I suggest we all tone down the rhetoric some. If the LTARs wanna leave and play WW2 then I wish them good luck, i think they'll be happier there since thats the kind of game they play. I also think I'l miss dropping thousand pounders on em...at least a little bit.

Well, all I can say to this statement is that you are what you make yourself. You can only be as good as you want to be. You need the drive to WANT to learn to become better. If you just sit in a flack panzer or a Tiger you will never become a better stick in the air.

Getting better only means dying and making lots of mistakes, paying attention to your mistakes and learning. There is no two ways about it. Practice makes perfect.
If you don't receive Jesus Christ, you don't receive the gift of righteousness.

Be A WARRIOR NOT A WORRIER!

Thank you Misfit to you Sir

And to answer your question Edbert
"AH2 is DX6 code---BZZZT, try running it with DX6 and let me know what happens"

Your statement tells me you know NOTHING about how DirectX works,  nuff said. You go ahead and send a little note to HTC and ask them yourself why the game "requires" DX9.0    Go ahead.
Then come back and tell me what the truth is, I'll be waiting.

to the rest of you for making us such a prized pelt:cool:

LTARs...its been a real pleasure to fight along side you as well as have you as adversaries. From my former cpid of Barrel to my current one of TheTitan, I have always seen the LTARs. It will not be the same without you guys. Godspeed.
