I have completely finished the skin.  This is it with weathering and smoke, everything.

Any way around the serial placement being where it is?  Obviously the right side serial is in front of the codes which is not where it would have been and the left side is way low from where it really would have been.

Definately like the Gray-Green camo on the Spit V though

The fuselage roundels are wrong if you use the fin flash with the narrow white band.  If you want the early version roundels on the gray-green the fin flash also needs to be the early version
Underwing roundels are the wrong type as well. Should be the smaller 42-45 version if the fin flash you use is the narrow white strip version.

Including two profiles.  One shows the earlier Gray/Green camo with the early roundels.

Second shows the later 42 on roundels.

First is a Spit Va
Second a Vb

Now that I look at it, there is alot more wrong than I thought.  This is the only reference picture I had, so I did most by estimation.

Thanks for the info, Ill work on that and hopefully have an update soon.

Btw, this is a Spit mkVc

Edit>  I am an absolute idiot.  I redid the skin with the weathering, and anxious to see the results I exported the skin to bmp, then opened AHII without saving it in the layered format.  So now I have the option of attempting to make the changes without layers, or start from scratch without the weathering.
#%&@!!!!

I think im going to leave this one alone and make sure I get it right on the next skin I do.

With all the attention on the Nazi birds; it's refreshing to see some time spent on a Freedom Flyer.

Thanks!

(any chance of a Spit I skin before Sunday?)

Hehe, gimme a reference and I could probably get most of it done.  Im off the rest of today and nothing that I know of is going on tomorrow. :D

I got the Spit1 skin and by the looks of it, the panel lines are set up the same, so all Id need to do was weathering and coloring, which wont take more than 5-6 hours.

If youre really interested Ill get it done. :)
