So, why don't you Canucks chip in another 3 billion? You  seem to see a threat after all.

Np, thanks for the civil discussion.

For the record, I prefer the term "jinatalia".

"like being pro-abortion but willing to risk his life to save a hamster and then adminster a CPR on it.

What a humanitarian."

Neat!  You arbitrarily assign me a characteristic then mock me for having it.

For example, what is your position on the issues I listed above?

Welfare - Kerryesque Waffleism.  I can be talked into agreeing that it is needed in some cases.  However I believe it should be reduced drastically, by an order of magnitude.  We need to get government expenditures down to about 10% of GDP to ensure the viability of our economy in the long run.

Gay marriage - Government should not regulate marriage in any way.  If people want to make contracts with each other there are plenty of laws on the books to cover that already.

Prohibition - Individuals can determine what they want to put in their body.  Government has no right to interfere.

Censorship - None of the government's business to tell us what to read or what to see or hear.

Prosititution - If two people agree to have sex it is not the government's business if they exchange money or anything else.

Right, well, I agree with pretty much all of this.  I would call the above "fiscally conservative and socially liberal", in a general sense.  Would you not?  Certainly you can't call yourself a Republican...gay marriage and prostitution.

Nope a fetus is not a child.

But don't pigeonhole me yet!

I don't fit exclusively into a pro-choice mold, nor pro-life.  Neither side would accept me.

I'm pro-choice but am generally against late term abortions.

I've never really understood this whole fetus/child thing. Is there some mystical moment when life enters a fetus and it becomes a human being?
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

Depends on who you talk to.  Some people believe the act of a sperm entering an egg makes it a child instead of say a zygote.

The point that I believe a fetus becomes "human" is the point at which it can live outside the mother.

It's really a question of lable assignment.  And people say "semantics" is silly.  ;)
