I think, not positive, that the CV was dead for several hours last night. It never came back up before I logged.

There are three carrier CV's with a replacment downtime of six hours, that's not unreasonable.

Are you telling me that you've got through three fleets within that six hour window against the German forces? Tsk. tsk. tsk. :D

As well, the ChangeCountryTime arena setting is 600 seconds (10 minutes).  It's plenty time for arena balancing considering the MA is one hour.

Yes Mister Fork. Two CVs were sunk. Was told several attack were made with Bf-110s with Rockets. I did see each CV sunk with one hit from Ju88 formations.

The Maned ack was not maned during the first two sinkings. However, the third attempt was spoiled from two maned act, me and Memnon, with Phaser and one other allied capping with fighters.

BUT....if the ack is not maned, one flight of Ju88s will sink it. With it sunk, The F4U is out for the remainder of the night...thats is not very fair! Also, if the fleet gets sunk, what are the respawn locations? It looks like it will take 6 more ours to reposition the CVs for more attacks.

Just my thoughts :)

One-two hours down time seems reasonable to me, but six is too much. That will make it not worth "beaching" the fleet like we have seen before, but will not cripple the use of them if they get lost.

Come to think of it, this might be the ideal way to prevent brown water Admirals from beaching fleets in any setup, make the respawn time longer than it has been in the past. I doubt you would see the kind of fleet abuse like we saw in that last Ackinawa set if the CV's were going to be gone for 1-2 hours each time they were lost. 6 hours + transit time seems a bit steep to me.

My additional  thoughts.

Beaching the fleet in order to spawn LVTs, if so desired, will need to be planned instead of... new name, "Beach Porking" lol

Bases can be shelled from a good distance, no beaching needed.

Beaching CV is way way way too close, F4U needs lots of airspace to grab altitude.

Do you recall my commanding all fleets, in Okinawa, that I was so bashed for? The things that make ya go "Hmmmmmmmmm" !!! I prevented beaching, sinking of F4U CVs and the much b1tched about ACK but still got bashed for doing it!

Last night (and sat night) our mission was to destroy all VHs at VBase 100, 101, 102 and I think 103. Orders were to kill VHs and AAA. After target objectives were met, pilots were free to take out targets of opppertunity...including GVs. When our Fleet came under attack, we defended or fleet at all cost. Was actually fun!

CV downtimes

30 minutes - Squad times from 9pm eastern till 12 midnight seems to have been the standard times for sqaud opps tuesday and thursday nights. Prim time nightly seems to be 10pm eastern till midnight.

By all means, extend fleet AAA down times. Give us a wounded CV to retreat and land on...lol (maybe skuzzy can remodle CV and add fuel and bomb strat like on bases. CVs were not always sunk to be defeated.

In order for squad nights to be at their best, we need the CT Staff's help to reset the arena for squad nights so we can can plan missions to simulate, re-enact that weeks CT Theme. This goes both ways, allied and axis.

you mean milking 100,101,and 102?

Lets count how much a for of Ju88's can carry.

lets see 500kgx4x3=6000 lbs.  more than enough to fatally damage a cv.
then you add a few more.
(20*50kg)*3+6000=12000lbs's of bombs.  more than enough imo:eek:

Skull give it a rest. You can post what ever you want but its just going to make things worse. Hawk says his squad has orders not to milk. Well then so be it. Give them a break. Its not like its against the rules so be glad most are recognizing the problem. Stay vigilant Skull, just know we need to work together.
