Alot of you prettythang-wipes go around pinning this tag on everybody that dislikes Kerry on this BBS and every anti-Kerry article or commercial thats out there. So since I've been called this once I just wonder what your definitions are. I don't think of myself as left or right but pretty close to the middle.

I never understood the need to pigeon-hole people with a tag.

Maybe they just need to put you in a box, and you do not fit into any other box, so this tag gets applied. Sort of a "misc" category.

HERE is a pretty good article on NeoCons.
Basicly NeoCons are now the Far- Right wing of the GOP.
McCain would be the exact opposite of a NeoCon.

My real point of this thread is not so much the actual definition of neo-conservative, I just wanted to see what some of these guys said. I think alot of these guys are uninformed or misinformed and are apllying lables to stuff when they don't know what they are talking about.

A label means whatever you want. A neo-con is someone who was a liberal in the 50's or 60's, but became a conservative. That's all, not very deep. But it has a nice sinister ring to it, so liberals use it as a label for anyone on the right they feel like slamming at the moment.

explains a bunch of our problems. super lefties would last about a day in arab world because they dumb enough to think that their view on life is worldwide. in most of the world outside of europe and japan its better to be percieved as dangerous and strong and to surprise them by being benevolent thru actions. super lefties want to appear harmless which will get you killed very fast in a large part of the world. "if youre not a hard target you are a soft target". as long as different cultures exist they are going to rub each other wrong way every so many years. some believe it best that the fight from the rubbing takes place outside us where people would stage and plan to hit us. others think we should let people break our nose and run away and then go looking for them after we get back from er and only with permission of our mom and neighbors.

Then why dont you be real and ask about the pigeon hole comment 'liberals' or 'pansy liberals, hippy, or tree hugger, or greeny, or communist, or anti-american, or any other name commenly thrown around on this bb... Dont limit the question as if only one group of people are responsible for these actions.. Thats being hypocritical...

like I said. I felt people were using it and not knowing what it means. We all can figure out what a Communist or tree-hugger is and use it in a description the proper way without the definition, they define themselves.

want me to get you a tshirt? it can say "im really nice and i respect all cultures" on the back. that shirt and a company of Marines will keep you safe in the rough part of cairo at night.
