I find it interesting that Kerry thinks we should be mulitlateralist in Iraq and the war on terror (and we are IMHO) and unilateralist in Korea.   I read that Kerrys sister is in Austrailia teling them that they should not back Bush in Iraq because it makes them unsafe.  So how "exactly" is he (kerry) going to get more countries involved if this is his position?

Kerry won the debate on style.  Niether of them said anything we could point to and say hmmm thats news.

I kniw who I am voting for so the debate really was not a page turner for me.

Did anyone else roll their eyes when Lurch told that BS Story about meeting 2 soliders on their way back to Iraq, who told him, "We need you" or something like that?

What a load of crap.

Bush could have nailed Kerry on one point.

Kerry wants Bi-lateral talks with North Korea, leaving the rest of the world out...

But then wants to bring the whole world in on Iraq.

Not that this argument is without holes, but to the average slack jaw, Bush could have made this look like another case of Kerry indecision.

Hey, how come the Canadian presidential debates are not televised here in the US?

Should be interesting to see how the next two debates go.
Next one is on Domestic policy.
Whats the third one about?

Anyway. If Bush's team is smart they are gonna nail Kerry on the inconsistancies (flipflops) in this last debate.
( yes he did flipflop.)
And on Kerry's claimed plans for which he hasnt explained how he plans on paying for.
And these imaginary Tax cuts for the rich only.

If Kerry is smart he will keep on the same path he is on
and pick one stance on an issue and stay there.

Early polls are suggesting that people think Kerry won the debate but still trust bush more to be commander in Cheif.

Also interesting to note that the person who wins the first debate isnt the one that always wins the election.
Kerry did himself a world of good last night
But its still Bush's election to loose

There is one point Bush made where he really scored on with me.
"I understand everybody in this country doesn't agree with the decisions I've made. And I made some tough decisions. But people know where I stand."

Agree with him or not Bush does decide to do something then does it. And thats what a leader is supposed to do and not just make decisions based on whats popular

That I can at least respect even if I dont agree with those decisions.

IMO Kerrys idea on Korea is just dead wrong and foolish.
And Bush has it spot on right.
China is the best hope for change there and China makes sence.

Letting the UN handle it would be just another Iraq situation where resolution after resolution would be passed with no change

Wrong.

What this election boils down to is one simple question:

What candidate do our enemies least want to win the election?

Vote for that man.

G. Bush is a hood ornamnet for Cheneys oil stealing war machine.  he is no public speaker and probably doesnt make any real decisions in the oval office.  Cheney is the man.  I feel for Mr Bush.  I fear Dick Cheney.
It just goes to show that Bush is not knowledgeable about his ploicies, nor does he have any real opinion on them, and I feel the rest of the debates are gonna be canceled.
The "we gotta beat the turrizts' crap is getting real old.  Saddam Hussien was an evil despot, but, as you can see, he had no choice with the religious  freaks he had to deal with.  Bush is using the same methods as Hussien to try to gain control over Iraq, only saddam was far more effective.
If they do hold elections in January, Hussein may very well win as a write in candidate.:rofl

Of course Saddm will win the elections whitehawk, its tough to beat a guy who got a whopping 100% of the vote the last time he ran for public office..

Btw the blackhawks are on the way, better get out the tinfoil hats too, just to be safe..  :)
