Tilt on Kerry

Firstly I am your genuine article......the "wet liberal" to me the only US Republican President worthy of the name since WWII was Reagan.

And to make matters worse my take is that Clinton was most probably the best President the US ever had since Roosevelt.

However I have to say that Kerry is not impressive......... he just does not seem to be Presidential material..........there is something of the "whimp" about the man............

which is a pity because the present Bush administration is probably the worst for a century IMO and whilst many a US President has been less than honest about his sex life the exploits of Cheney and the Repulican "right" would have made Nero cringe.

First,  if you are a Brit, your opinion about our presidents is kinda worthless.

Two,  anyone who thinks the Bush is worse that Jimmy Carter as president obviously doesn't have a clue.

Third, Clintion will be in the historical context will be regarded only as a president who was impeached, was a liar, and a person sans any morals.  Tell me what accomplishments of true merit occured as a result of his presidency?

The list of negative things happening during his presidency is quite long.

Tilt,
Can you further expand on "Clinton being the best president since Roosevelt" ?  What exactly did he do, in your opinion, to make him the best? (Besides a good communicator)

Well I really stated the other stuff to qualify my opinion on Kerry ...... and I can see that a Clinton debate is now brewing and since he will not be a future president............

but "The world" was better for Clintons policies than most other presidents.

So, nothing specific with facts or data, just an over all "good feeling" from your opinion.  Okay, fair enough, we all have our opinions.

On with the Kerry portion of the thread...

Lemme  see........

Voting for Presidents...........incumban t running and new candidate from the other party.

Like trading in your used car for a newer model used car.
At least you know what you have with the one you own, and it's  chancy at best with the one you might want to purchase. Who knows what could be wrong with it?

No it's not.

If you liked bush and had posted a glorious review of his administration, dago would have slapped you on the back and told you how right you were.

Tilt ..You are missing the mark.

It's not to have the best Democrat to run for office..It's to have the best Democrat that has the best possibility to oust GWB.

All things considered,I can prematurley say.."Mission Accomplished!"

klinton went to oxford for a while and pretended to like the euros.   that made him the "best"... he tried to get more taxes and socialism that also makes him good in euros eyes.. he saddled us with a lot of expensive programs that lower our spending power which is alsovery important to euros.

I do agree that Teddy R was one of the very best presidents along with Regan tho.
