I installed em for Doom 3, on:
AMD 2500xp running at 2.2ghz (3200 spec)
ASUS 9800 Pro 256
1gb DDR3200
ASUS A7N8X deluxe rev 2.0
XP Pro SP1a
Slight decrease in performance in Doom3, otherwise no difference.
Works fine in Doom 3 and Deus Ex IW with no problems though.
Stick with the official releases.
