CT Website Splash Screen

Here's some artwork I was working on for the initial page of the CT website.

http://home.rochester.rr.com/faa880sqdn/images/splash.jpg

It still needs to be resized and put into a webpage, plus I have to add text.  Was thinking about something like,

COMBAT THEATER

Doorway to History
   Enter

Too cheesy??  Anything I should change with the .jpg ?

then cover it up.  i dont HTC would link to a site that has it.  The Isreali crowd got really pissed when someone asked why they couldn't use swazi's as i have come to know them, from tards at school.

Btw you might wanna put Historical nosearts in the blank section.

Looks great Bug.  I believe I would make three changes.  first HTC has said that they will accept no skins with swastikas on them so irrespective of history that is the case.  secondly the fighters on the left column should be facing right then you will have a depiction that is much more accurate.  Thirdly all of the fighters on the right column need to be trailing toilet paper from inside their cockpits.  aside from those minor points everything looks very nice.  :D

Actually TheBug, I think you will have to lose the swazi, I know its kinda stupid, but HTC wont have it for an official HTC anything with it. Thats my understanding. Maybe you could use national roundels instead of flags, that might work.

Yep because of the international nature of AH they (HTC) don't allow swasitkas on the skins or anything else affiliated with it. I know its a screwed world we live in but sometimes we have to make concessions. BTW Bug it looks nice but maybe you can change that over to the Balkencruz (emblem that is on the side of the Stuka and top 109.

And as a minor notice, your Finnish Messerschmitt (MT-462?) is a post-war one, since it has the roundel instead of Von Rosen cross.

Currently it is an "Unofficial" Combat Theater website, but if at some point the Swastika becomes a problem I will remove it.

Nice catch wasq, fixing it right now.

Question is ... do you want it to become the official community Combat Theater website or is this just your Combat Theater website? Same question applies to mine, as well, I suppose. When I first came up with the idea of creating a Combat Theater site it was to promote CT devgroup scenario designs. Having it linked to a banner above the forums here was so players could access it at anytime.

As time went on I asked Ronni to just link the banners I was making directly to the CT forum. But knowledge of what was coming down the pike wasn't always timely. So I created the generic banner and asked her to link it to my website. That way if we didn't get informed about what was coming until the eleventh hour, all I had to do was change the site then and there. No sending in a new banner that had to wait over the weekend to get put up. As such, it seemed to imply HTC's approval of my site and management of it. A trust in me.

I even attempted to start up a "Target For Today" idea that had missions and goals for both sides. Since then it's become a static site to find out what's currently running in the CT. But I've always had unlinked pages where I continued to work on various ideas and projects.

HTC policy is always a part of my website design process. If you want your site to replace mine, I suggest the same.
