one player has a high performance gameing computer, rudder pedals, throtle control, the works, paid thousands for.

another player has a mid-range computer, and a twisty stick.

both have been playing the same amount of time, and both have the same experiance level.

the two meet up and battle in the sky.

who wins?

does the player with the better cpu/extra's have more of an advantage?

I would have to say that the one with the better equipment wins.

As for CPU I know in AW when I upgraded from my P100 to my P500 I noticed an imediate improvement even though my style hadnt chaged.

As for the rest of the equipment I currently use an old TM Xfighter. Other then the obvious handling My stick controls my guns, my ord and my views.
Everything else, Rudders, throttle, Trim adjustment  is done through the keyboard  And lets face it I dontr have enough fingers to do everything I'd like to all at the same time.
so Im sure Im at a big disadvantage when I go up against someone who has all the fancy controls,
Death is no easy answer

anyone remember AHGOD (aka AGJV44)??

he flew on a carppy system with a twisty stick the whole time. saw him do it at the CON.

sometimes it doesnt matter what system you are on i guess that shows.
I don't know what to put here yet.

you cant judge by equipment and 2 different players. Best way to tell is by using 1 way for a certain amount of time, switch and use the other long enough to get the hang of it and fight.

I've been playing about a year and a half now, use mouse, and can beat players that have been here since the beggining and use joystick. its not a matter of equipment, but pilot. Some learn faster than others. It all comes down to pilot

'Ketchup' won a couple of AW con duel ladders, and all he used was a two button stick, with keyboard views and rudder.

i was kicking *** with a 333 p2 just a bit over 16 months ago... i forgot which ah  version pretty much forced me to upgrade for better frame rates (was getting 35 to 10, depending).

still have same stick, ms ffb twisty... still kicking ***...

the biggest impact is framerates, makes for better gunnery and smoother tracking.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

as far as i'm concerned, i'm the *only* la7 flyer... the rest are just misguided FWeenies.
