Maybe, but I don't know what. Have you tried toggling zoom when doing that?

Edbert,

The problem seems to be with the F6.  It works fine with the FWa8 as the forward view is not zoomed in.  Can you check the default F6 forward view and tell me if its zoomed in?

Again, if I turn Tir off, I can save it after unzooming, but as soon as Tir is on and I press the look forward button its back to the zoomed forward view.  Maybe thats just the default view.

I am using KP8 for the forward lock without that problem, I've never used the F6 view and didn't even know there was one.

Why not just remap your hat to use KP8?

i just got it set up and have been playing with it offline, im very satisfied to say the least so far, i deleted all my hat views and replaced them so that when i press up hat it switches to pan, when i press right hat it switches to snap, bottom hat now sets it to move head and left centers it.  kinda funny i used to live in corvallis oregon, i remember hearing about the company there, didnt know much about sims at the time, now im half way across the state buying it.

I strongly recommend doing a custom profile too. Mine has large deadbands and is as slow panning as I could make it. Here's the text from the profile I am using:
85,15,15,0,0,1,1,0,0,0,0,0.000000,0.000000,2.000000,0.000000,19.000000,19.000000,19.000000,20.000000,20.000000,0.000000,0.000000,2.000000,16.000000,19.000000,19.000000,19.000000,20.000000,20. 000000,1,1,1,1,2,15,3,15,1,1,1,1,1,0,1,0,0,0,91,92

,19,44,0,119,145,91,92,0,0,0,66,0,,0,English,AH2. tir,1,,1,0,0,25,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,1,1,1,1,0,1,0,200,0,

eiliff,

copy the string, open up the file Aces High in the naturalpoint directory with word pad and save the string there.  Obvoiusly back up the original to something else in order to change it back.

im all set i put it on the aggressive setting and its a world of difference, ill try the word pad thing tho, there are some things i would like to play around with.

im now able to do 2 on one fights really well with the improved sa, had another p38 and a lala on me for about  5 minuts of turn fighting. kept killinu in my sites too till he ate my cannons.

all in all im very glad i bought track ir its defenantly worth the while, now i have to spend half of my time as the flying salesman.  guess i made it too day 3 on the second day:)

What difference did you notice with the aggressive setting?

it has more subtle controll for your frontal view, the further you look to your 6 the less you have to move your head.  i get better gunnery with it, and dont have to stress my head out looking to my 6.

I just wish I could "slow down"  the amount my view moves in relation to the amount my head moves. I think I would almost prefer it if the view was in direct correlation to my head movement, but I know that wouldn't work as I wouldn't be looking at the screen!

But even for just looking around while not dogfighting or in the turret of a tank this thing is worth the price.

try keeping your profile curve very shallow with a spike to max at the end

keeping it one to one ratio till about 30 degrees seems to work well, then spiking the heck out of it so yo dont hurt your neck for the views past 30 degrees works well. i have found i am not using my neck so much    anymore tho, i mainly move my body and the closer i get to my gunsite the more i move my head, and less my torso.  if somone watched me i would look like i just recieved a knock out punch and was waving around like some cartoon character :)  cant wait till i get my pedals, i will have a full body work out!
