Hey everyone,
I think it's time we decide to embrace those people over in AGW and walk arm in arm as bretheren of the same cloth, so to speak.
There are many good people over on AGW that feel offened by some former WB fliers that have gone back to say their peace about what they think is wrong with WB, and what is right with AH.
I'm asking you all to take the pledge with me, right now, to refrain from bad-mouthing Warbirds either here, or on AGW. Those of us who are flying both(I fly only the S3 events there now) are being lumped into the same group of people who left WB because they have an axe to grind with someone or something connected with WB or iEN.
We have a great community of people here, and so does AGW. And each board has a few, um..shall we say, misunderstood posters(or plain old "Jerks", if you want to be honest). Let's not ruin it by building AH up by tearing WB down.
Now, I know some of you who left WB have a good reason for leaving, and I have no beef with that. I have my own reasons for turning the majority of my time over to AH, but I'm going to refrain from "airing my dirty laundry" in a public forum. For the sake of those of us who want to be able to post on both boards, I'm asking you to do the same.
After WW2 Online is released, there will be four WW2 era sims on the market today(AH, WB, WW2OL, AW), and many of us may be flying more than one. In fact, I think it is the minority who will be only playing one of them.
Geez, just realized that I'm getting awfully preachy here. Sorry about that. but it's just that I care about both communities, and I think it's time for the hatred to end, and the healing to begin. After all, we all share the same interest, do we not?
Please, let us stop pointing the finger, and start taking the high road. Perhaps in due course, we can all be friends that simply happen to fly different sims.
<raises glass> A toast, to my bretheren on every online WW2 flight sim.
