How about a mosquito FB XVIII with a 57mm cannon....

That could be fun.:)

I want snoopy's flying dog house.

after that,  Id like on a whim,  the B24 next, followed by the PBY.   maybe not the most needed,  but I would enjoy the most.

I'm betting a B-24 is next, but Id say that to fill the largest gap in the planeset we'd need an early war Russian bomber.

I know we are going to see some US bombers/fighters coming up but honestly I  would rather see Japanese or Russian fighters and bombers with a small sprinkling of Italian and German aircraft coming along as well.

We don't need the P-38D because it saw less WWII use than the Ta152H-1.

The P-38F was the first significant model of that aircraft.

First Combat ready 38 was the E model that saw combat vs the Japanese in the Aleutians.  54th FS

F model was the first to get overseas however and would make more sense.  Of course in terms of look the F,G, H were pretty much identical with the smaller intakes.  If you are looking at the early Pac or North Africa the F and G.  If you are talking Europe and midwar pac then the H makes more sense.

D model was not combat ready

Personally I'd like to see the A-26 Invader for the simply wonderful reason that it would get me out of doing work at work for a few days a year.  My boss used to fly one in the war, and every so often his grandson who's 10 comes to the office to be babysat.  Back when Air Warrior was still around I actually got payed to set him up with a FW and watch him "kill grandpa".

Other than that, I really don't have a reason! :D

We need them all.

He-111 should be next.

For armor should have M4E8 or T-34

Personal preference . . .

He-111
SM-79
Il-16, Rata
Il-4
Gloster gladiator
Fiat Cr42
P-39
Ki-43

. . . are in my opinion the most needed to flesh out planesets across more years.
