OR is that Crack safe zones

anyone else seen the news talking about this?

What a concept.... They also want canadian Government to provide Crack for them to smoke as well...

Wouldn't providing a recovery program be a better choice for these addicts rather then feeding the problem by throwing more crack at them?

Feed them lots of crack and the problem will sort itself RIGHT out.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

I believe it's the British Columbian government that's doing this, not the Canadian government.

The Mass. state government (yes judicary) said that gays can marry, does this mean that the United States federal government said that gays can marry?  Of course not.  It's the same difference with the British Columbia provincial government, and the Canadian federal government.

Rip,

"You've just been "Thrawned", master of deflection."

You just never give up an opportunity to display your ignorance do you?

Sandman,

"Hmmm... does the Canadian government still recognize the sovereignty of its states?"

The Canadian provinces have never been soverign.  They were British colonies that were confederated into a Dominion of the British Empire, then existed under our Constitution.

Explain the comparison please, I don't see where you are coming from with this.  To answer your question, no Canadian provinces can't enact slavery as it is against our Constution.

The 'War on Drugs" is the dumbest thing this country has ever done and one of the most expensive.  It's nothing but Price Support for Colombian  Drug Lords.   All the average citizen gets out of this is a better than average chance of being robbed and beaten by addicts trying to get enough money to buy the over priced drugs.

If you make drugs easily accessible the problem will quickly go away....

"What about the children...???"    That's easy, tell kids not to use drugs...

We can change our constitution without royal ascent.  The Queen or Governor General, only have as much power as we as Canadians decide to let them have.  We do control our own destiny.
