personally i dont want to fly knights / bish because of some of the people there, if they had to switch too.....

That was the whole point, that Each country switches. Some one way some other, I.E. every tour each side would have a totaly different mix of players.

Salute All
Hitech switching between countries wont work because you havent eliminated the heart felt allegance to a certain country that all players feel the only way to stop it is to eliminate the countries rename them to what ever and put everyone back in the mix . also seemed a simple fix ? but in your earlier post you said you were not seriously thinking about this or was it your comment on switching after every tour? I havent seem to have seen to much objection here so maybe this would work? it certainly seems easier than trying to reconfigure eny values from most post I have seen unless its not really about the balance and more how the game tactics are played ? Salute All get kills and happy hunting:aok

I'm suprised there is so much support  for arbitrary assignment to a county when so many friendshiopos have been made, and lot of people would rather fly with a friend than someone he's come to not care or have respect for .

What a great way to meet new people though!  It's exciting to see new faces make a visit to knightland (I'm in a dedicated knight squad).  If people were thrown into a grab-bag of a country... who knows what great friends you could make?

Balancing game play.
I can see why HTC would want to do it.
If this fails; I hope they will try something else.

In Warbirds I was very loyal to my country and hated many players from the other countries.  Then the HA came about.  I flew there exclusively and often switched sides.  Everyone became my friend and rival; it was much more of a community than the MA.  In Aces High I’ve gone through the same pattern; loyal to a country in the MA, switch to the CT when it appears, play both sides, have more fun and enjoy the community more.

I think it would be wise to make the MA crowd mix it up.

I haven't heard enough discussion along this line.  I would have no problem with being assigned a country for reach tour as long as squads moved as whole squads.

Would the arena then be frozen so they wouldn't/couldn't change back during the tour?

This wouldn't ensure equal numbers in the arena at any given time... only an equal starting point...

Would be interesting tho.
